I am interested in hearing reviews, both good and bad, of those who have purchased clubs through the Callaway Preowned website. http://callawaygolfpreowned... Thanks.

Bought putter and hybrid from them this year for what I feel was a very good price (and taking into account shipping charges, roughly USD55). The clubs took four days to reach me. Well packaged and was able to track shipment. The clubs were 'Like New' quality, with the putter having a tiny mark on the face insert (that I ended up removing with a pencil eraser), while the hybrid came with the standard shrink-wrapping on the club head with no obvious marks or imperfections. Overall, extremely happy, but I'd recommend doing some research to make sure that the shipping charges do not cancel out the savings. Cheers.

Late last year I bought an Odyssey White Hot #2 putter from this site. The prices are generally quite good and the shipping was fast but a little pricey and without any cheaper (and slower) options, so as dodgem noted: do your homework to make sure you're still paying a fair price. As far as service and condition go though, top quality notch.

I have bought 3 things, all were described as "like New". Two of the 3 came in plastic !
Prices are similar to retail though, but USA retail not Aussie

Did you get charged any taxes or just the shipping costs. I am think of buying a full set of irons, wedges and woods.

As long as you keep the order and shipping total under $1000 you wont pay any taxes on it. And I’d go elsewhere for a full set of clubs, Callaway Preowned are more expensive than the better Ebay retailers

Try Global Golf in USA they have lots of near new, closeout and even new items bought a callaway xhot 3 wood was new unused still in factory wrapper for $213 AUD including shipping to Aus and was shipped to me in about 4 days from memory.

Hi, just a question for those that have purchased from Callaway Preowned – did they use UPS, FedEX or USPS for shipping ?
|
|
type golfdigest in coupon code and get $10 discount on shipping. Great site bought x-18 irons graphite RH Regular flex for $350USD when they had the 20% off sale. Found them reliable.

My FT-i came via FedEx. Arrived quickly and “like new” condition was exactly that.
All quick, jerky and wobbly motions are improper execution. |
|
i think the under $1K is a blanket policy, regardless of the carriers…..
If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ? |
|
Very reliable Ordered x-18 set in “like new” condition for about $440USD from them last month. Looks brand new. no marks at all on any of the clubs.

Geoff, I don’t know about the shipping and related charges to you guys down under but I’ve dealt with Callaway Preowned several times and they ALWAYS deliver as advertized. Just like the parent company, their customer service is second to none. Some of the ebay stores may cut you a better bargain but sometimes that is an iffy proposition if you don’t know the seller’s rep. Good luck

did you have to pay customs on these?
|
|
No custom or additional fee paid on my order

First Post fellas. After reading a lot of info on buying overseas from these columns I took the plunge & finished up buying a NEW set of Callaway X20 Tour irons- 3 to PW. Globalgolf backup was great. Price fantastic $920 to my door. No duties paid as the price fell under the $1000 cut-off on duty. Had a quote from D*S for $1499 for same irons with fitting included. Nearly a saving of $600. Regards, Glen.
