Ping / Golf Pride OEM Grips

I've still got the original grip on my Ping G2 driver. I'm yet to find any other grip that can match it in terms of tackiness - a little scrub up and its as good as new.

The grip itself has Ping markings with Golf Pride at the butt end. It is a rubber (i.e. non cord) grip with pattern similar to a tour velvet but the pattern is more sparse.

Any ideas what model of Golf Pride grip it would be?

I've got Lamkin crosslines on my irons but just never been happy in terms of their tackiness

Cheers

have you checked on the Ping web site?

is it the ribbed looking ones...the 703 grip?
thats the one which comes with the new Ping's...

If I remember correctly, they were called the i3 grip. I have them on my G2's.

The 703 is the new one.

They're an OEM grip made for Ping not a standard model so you have to buy them from Ping AU and unfortunately they're not cheap. Have a look on ebay US as you might find some there.

If you're a fan of tacky, and your looking at mortgaging your house to buy a grip from Ping, do yourself a favour and find an outlet which sells The Gripmaster.

Be warned. Fit one to your driver and you'll have the rest of your clubs in for a regrip within the week.

I regret to say they are seriously non-cheap, but no other grip on the market comes within light years of comparing.

Tacky - Star Sidewinder grips... really really good, little moisture, a good wipe and the tackiest I ahve ever played.

Playing in the rain I took my glove off, wiped the grip with a dry towel and it stuck to my hand like glue, extremely impressed.
