Titleist 975D Re-shaft?

Hi

Found this site this morning when looking for info about reshafting my Titleist 975D. Was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do with regards to this.

The shaft has split (up the graphite) at the hosel. Taken it to a few places who have said Titleist will not touch it, and that it is either re-shaft or bin. It is the standard stiff flex shaft that came with the club, whih is no longer made.

One place I went to gave me a trial of a 905R with a Proforce V2 stiff shaft, but it was difficult to guage how this would work with the 975D as it is a much smaller head.

Anyone got any recommendations on what to replace the standard shaft with? Or whether to just give up on the club entirely? And ideas of price?

I am currently using my old Callaway Great Big Bertha, with BB Ultralite firm flex shaft and hitting it well, but not as far as the Titleist did.

Cheers

I'd chuck it out. You can buy much more recent and muuuuccch easier to hit drivers for a practically nothing these days. If you want to stick with Titleist you could probably grab a 983e on ebay for not much more than $100.
