Just interested to know how many people on this forum actually wear gloves, and why?

Me personally i think wearing no glove gives me a better feel.

No and ditto to the Par Master!

putt,putt,putt,pftt.

i vary depending on how much coin is in the pocket.

Used to wear gloves, then stopped when i got some new grips, have been wearing them lately cause i'm getting quite sore hands...

sigs are back – YAY

yep always wear a glove and will do for some time.

No - and its a feel issue for me too ...

I always wear one except for when putting. Mainly because I've got dainty little office-worker hands and they'd get red raw after nine holes if I didn't. And I tape my index and pinky on the other hand for the same reason, and may start wearing two gloves if that solves the problem.

I wear a glove because it has a better grip than my skin, I can almost loosen my fingers to the extent where they only touch (not grab) the shaft and it will still grip to a large amount of force.

I actually think I have better feel with a glove on...I wear it throughout the course of the round, except putting. It beats drying the sweat of your hands on a summer day, and rain on a rainy day! However, I would say it's probably easier to take a proper grip without a glove blink.gif

Nope don't wear glove, it gives me tann line on my left hand! tongue.gif

Like most of non-glove wearing people, it gives me a better feel when striking the little white pill.

I wear a leather glove, can't stand synthetic gloves. I've always worn one and feel naked if I pick up a club without.

have to wear a glove, hands get pretty roughed up if I don't

I wear a glove mainly to prevent blisters and calluses. A little bit of prevention to save me a lot of grief. Nothing is going to spoil my enjoyment of the game.

In the bag:
Driver: TaylorMade Burner 10.5°
Hybrid: Royal Maxfli OS 18°
Irons: TaylorMade Burner 5i to 9i
Wedges: TaylorMade Burner PW, AW, SW
Putter: Ping G2 Anser

I also wear a glove, I find the club feels more secure and comfortable with a glove on.

I have to wear a glove in summer, sweaty hands...otherwise I would lose the club. so as I am used to it, wear one all year.

I wear one, but only beacuse Michael Jackson does

For me the club actually feels like it's slipping with a glove on.

Same with golf shoes. We should all wear thongs, because it's more natural. Shoes and gloves do nothing for comfort or performance.

Threadjack - barefeet ... (sorry - might start up a thread for those golf sandals)

I wear gloves if I can find them to fit me, I have big hands but with little fingers so finding gloves to suit even in Cadet sizing is difficult sometimes.

I bought 6 gloves last time I found some that fit, I'll continue to wear them until I can't get them any more.

I haven't worn a glove to play in about 8 years, I'm starting to now though, I find that I feel more secure wearing one.

Yes. I don't give a rats what the pros do because I cannot replicate it. I have always worn a glove and the club feels awkward in my hand if I do not have it on. Same feeling as forgetting to put on the cycling gloves. I suppose it is something you could get used to not doing. Unlike most, I leave mine on when putting.

Tried a glove way back but wore it out very quickly due to hand movement. Also found that with an interlock grip the glove chafed the interlocked part.

Didn't like the feel of a glove but if it was a soaking wet day I'd wrap a hankie around the grip. No idea if it was legal but didn't get pulled up, even in pennant.

I tee off with a glove on...if I'm hitting fairway wood or long hybrid into a long par 4 or 5 the glove stays on also...but anywhere from 7 Iron through to Lob wedge and putter I take the glove off as I dont need that extra grip

Not anymore. I like to be able to feel the grip. Helps me stay in tune with the club more.

I where a glove, but no longer sure why anymore! biggrin.gif

I think next weekend I try a few holes without one to see what the difference for me is dry.gif

Cheers.
