How much to ship a driver from the US

Considering importing my next driver, what should I looking at for shipping a single unit?

US $30-40 - depnding on where you are and insurance I'd think (from my experience...)

US $50 for my driver

depends on the seller but should be no more than $50US however some charge up to $90US

It all depends on how cheap you can get the club for ie the total cost of the club delivered

always ask the seller before you bid if it is not stated in the auction details

If it is a private seller, the cheapest quick way is via USPS Global Express and that should be about $35.

The bigger sellers like 3 Balls and Global Golf have deals with UPS or FedEx and charge $35-40.

Otherwise UPS can, as mentioned, be $90 plus.

If you are buying new, Golfsmith have the cheapest shipping at $23 via UPS.

Also depends on which side of the USA the club is coming from...

Depends on who you buy from! I got my R7 3 wood shipped for $35US and it was in Cairns in 8 days.Pretty fast! an old diver i sent to perth took longer than that!

Do not under any circumstances pay over $49.95. This should be the upper ceiling and i have found about $35 to be the norm. Tennis racs are about identical. My last couple of clubs from 3ball took only 6 or 7 days, amazing.

just got one sent via 3balls...35.95 via FedEx and was in my hands in less than a week. love the service...

Graman Limey and i'm set...

damn i'm a club whore!

i like the look of golfsmith
looks cheap for new clubs.

Any of you run into Customs / GST issues?

Stay away from golfetail, as shipping is up to $70US per club... You will also get it cheaper if you can combine other clubs with the driver as well.

Works out cheaper again...

That's how u become a ho.

have imported a bit of stuff from the states. never had any problems with GST or Customs. I think there is a limit (somewhere like $800-1000) before customs gives a damn i think.

there was a topic on the limit a few months ago

Yeah, the limit is 1k (excluding postage costs)

Once you exceed that you get charged GST/duty on the lot (including postage)
