Cleveland demo day

Last saturday my club had a clev demo day,so I took the opportunity of hitting the hi-bore driver.
Great club looks a bit unusual but you soon don't worry about that.

First off I hit a 9.5 with a stiff accra shaft, and wasnt too impressed, then changed to a 10.5 and it was awesome,it was around 10m extra carry on my hogan driver and the noise was enough to burst your eardrums.

Then had a hit of the cg-1 blades with a black finish I was told the same club that vijay uses and they were pure aswell, very easy to hit for a blade with a higher flight than my current macgregors.

I've never really considered buying clevelands but after that I may well buy some tho it's a hard descision for me spend $650 on a new driver just for an extra 10m distance I don't know whether its worth it.

Looking forward to the Taylormade demo day tommorrow at rossdale aswell.

Good question. is it worth an extra 10mtrs???

I was planning on going to the Cleveland demo day tomorrow night - only thing is they rarely ever have a selection of left handed clubs.

But like some on here say, there is a reason why they dont bother... beat you to it!

Anyone know when the next Melbourne Demo day is because I really want to try the HiBore outside? I have only hit it into a net at Drummond, and they didn't have the launch monitor working so I couldn't even look at the launch and spin numbers. I have been reading a lot about the HiBore recently and it sounds as though it could be the club for me (after a trip to Ben).

Go to mizuno.com.au and find out when the demo days are at MGA or ring MGA direct and ask for the demo days. There's also Ping, TMs, etc... on the demo day and ... free hotdog. smile.gif

Andrew007,

Have you tried the Cleveland Launcher COMP (pre Hibore)? These drivers are now under $350 now that the Hibore is out.

Andrew007, Did they happen to have the Launcher 460Ti with offset there, and if it was, did you try it also? Just looking at offset alternatives to the Cobra M Speed.

In answer to trying the launcher comp, yes I did hit it it, went similar distance to the hi-bore just not quite as accurate, that was the feedback I heard off most blokes that hit both.

As for the offset clubs I'm not sure if they have them,my bad shot is a hook so I try and avoid offset clubs at all costs biggrin.gif .
