More Forgiving Irons

Hi all, I am currently playing Adams Idea Pro A12 irons with the black nickel KBS Tour stiff shafts. I am 48 years old and currently off 13. I just find that I am too inconsistent with my irons and am starting the process of finding a more forgiving set of irons. Cheers

Have you thought of buying s few lessons to cure your inconsistency? Your coach could probably give you some sensible advice on whether changing clubs might help.

Condition, 3 or 4 to pw etc?

Had a lesson a couple of months back and no mention of my irons but for me it’s just a feel thing. Condition – excellent, 4 to GW new grips

I play the Ping G20s and I love them, but I am a much higher handicapper than you are. And even I really constrained in trying to be flexible with the clubs. I find it relatively clunky to try and use a different swing for shots around the green and things like that – the weighting really does seem to force you to use it for a full swing type action. I have adjusted to account for this, but I would suggest having a full round with the irons before deciding to make the switch, because you might notice a real difference.

Thanks mate but that’s a long way short of what I was hoping for. I’ll see what other offers come along. Cheers

Put the A12’s on the bay and if they sell I’ll chase some Burner 2.0s

Grabbed a second hand set of Callaway Razr X from the local Drummond store to have a hit with this weekend. Just hope the rain stays away and gives me a chance to try them out.
