Is there such a thing.I’ve read some stuff on some other forums about Ping K15 drivers being easier to hit than most others.I really dont know if this can be true but im open to suggestions and like Fox Mulder i want to believe.Sorry if this topic has been done to death a million times.

can only drive it 200 m on average

The question from here would be

What are you currently using, what loft and what sort of shaft???

R11 10.5 standard shaft and a Burner 1.0 ht with a Graffalloy pro launch red both regular flex.Struggle to hit the R11 anywhere near the centre of the face mainly hit high on the toe.Probably hit the burner a little bit morer consistently but dont really like it that much.

Re the OP, no I think it’s generally an illusion. If I put a crap swing on it, I can hit a game improvement driver OB just as easy as my gamer.

If you’re in Perth I’ve got a K15 reg for sale :-) Got it to compare to my Cobra and it is a very forgiving consistent club, but turns out I’m more used to my Cobra.

till you get a razr fit Xtreme

LOL…...just sell the K15 on ebay…ebay buyers love PING – has good realse value – Im not kidding

I sold aping g10 3 wood that sold for 100 bucks on ebay…it wouldnt have gotten 50 on the pro shop here!

sell your cobra

then find the cashola to get the razr fit Xtreme – dave said it so ya know it makes sense!!!

Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding?

After Mickelson went into overdrive plugging it in Pheonix, you might be right.

Buy a driver that is as big as your head. I did, mines as big as a soccer ball. I never mishit it.

lol, i always used to think that the big headed Drivers looked like a Baloon tied to a stick, then I got one and realised how much easier they were to hit than my old cheapie 3W.

to the OP, Loft is your friend, get a 12 Deg D and perhaps get a little shorter shaft…before you know it, you will be playing tennis

Incoming Golf Balls have the right of way!

I went for a driver fitting recently, and was handed a K15 to try, with a Reg flex shaft from memory.

It is one wide clubface, with a low deep back on it, so if getting the ball in the air is an issue with your current set-up …..... it may well be the answer.

It might also be the answer if your mishits tend to run across the clubface, rather than either high or low on the clubface, because while it is a very wide face, it’s not very deep (top to bottom).

I took it out on the course for 9 holes, and found with the K15 it was hard to keep the ball down, in fact I found it impossible …..... as it just wanted to launch them high, and in doing so I lost distance compared to my usual driver which I hit side by side with it (probably 20 to 30 metres).

It is very easy to hit though, and with a massively wide clubface, it’s very forgiving for balls that come out near the toe, or in near the heel.

So depending on where your “misses are on the clubface” and your ball flight, it might be worth trying.

Best to see if your pro shop has any that you can go demo on course, rather than lash out and buy one without really trying it under game conditions.

Hope this helps.

I have a K15 and I LOOVE it. I tend to hit it in the middle and has turned into a club that I don’t feel like I can miss with.

Thanks for the info guys, getting it in the air is not a problem but hitting near the middle of the face is,i am pretty sure it is all to do with me but i do like shiny new things and am probably just trying to convince my self a new driver will solve all my problems.

can only drive it 200 m on average

The answer you seek then lies in a visit to your local professional to find out the solution to your current problem before you throw money at something that might make that problem worse…..

Agreed. I use the K15 because I was fitted for it and found the shaft and fit that made it super easy for me to hit. So go and speak to a fitting professional – if it makes a difference, you will know it within 10 minutes of starting to swing the demo clubs.

Too right GPJ, I tend to miss high toe or low heel which my Cobra is specifically designed to help alleviate. I did find the K15 nowhere near as good on a couple of heel hits.
