Razr Fit extreme driver - bling bling!

The new Hot Pro Fairway Woods are pretty impressive. Had a bash with one at the Callaway centre in Sydney today.

The numbers were from their proprietry club fit system so a grain of salt was needed but they showed an 18 yard improvement on the RBZ 3 wood I currently hit. Much better dispersal

Had a hit with the extreme and it was the same story. 13 yards longer and much straighter.

Nine out of ten people believe that out of ten people, one person will always disagree with the other nine!

So the Xtreme is the one you reckon? Im looking for straight mostly, not super concerned about length

Rob the Extreme I was referring to was the Driver, sorry for the confusion. It was a little longer than my current driver but not that much. It was straighter on the day.

The 3 wood I hit was the X Hot Pro and it was much longer and on the day very straight. Here is the comparison albeit from a small sample:

Taylor-Made; Rocketballz Tour; 3 Wood; Std Lie; Ozik RUL 70; S; Std Len; HEX Black Tour Golf Ball

Average Total Yards 233
Dispersion Width 74

Callaway Golf; X Hot Pro Fairway Woods; 15; Std Lie; Project X Velocity; 6.0; Std Len; HEX Black Tour Golf Ball

Average Total Yards 251
Dispersion Width 19

I’m guessing the Project X Velocity 6.0 is a good shaft for me. Others may not experience the same results : )

Cheers 2putts.T
That dispersion rate is massive.

Granted the razr fit RIP’D nv shaft is pretty crappy, so are Titleist’s Ilima, Kaili & Ahina. The Trinity & Matrix 7m3 are a step up in class compared to the 913’s S+ & D+.

Razr Fit Extreme 8.5 with Aldila Trinity 65 X stiff
RBZ 15
3 Wood
RBZ 19* 5 wood
Titleist 710 AP2’s 4-PW
Vokey 50, 56, 60 Red Saw Oil Can
Scotty Cameron Squareback #2

Good point

I think the trinity is Aldilas best shaft they’ve made – it suits the head and suits club players..

Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding?

Took delivery of my extreme on weekend and let it loose on course today at the Glades, missed only the one fairway all day and the laser range finder got a workout as was further along most fairways than normal even by 40 mts on one hole, if only the putter had behaved it would have been a very tidy round, course coming back well after all that rain and greenies hard at work on bunker repair as all were GUR. Looking forward to next comp game to see how amazed the gang i play with are with the new weapon of mass distance.

Low spin will do that

What shaft are you using?

I have the infinity 65 stiff and went 4 papers with a new golf pride tour grip, as mentioned keen for my next bash.

I had a demo of the Xtreme with the stock green Trinity shaft. It felt GOOOOD. Longer than my current Cobra, with as forgiving a feel on off centre hits (the Cobra beats a lot of other sin that regard), and the smaller head didn’t put me off at all as let’s face it, 440cc is still a pretty fn big clubhead.

If we hadn’t just bought a TV (which was the wife’s idea) I may have done something stupid and bought one then and there.

How do you guys rate the stock shaft?

I’m with you on the orange and blue. Heaps unique…

What are the differences between the two stock shafts? I hit the Trinity and it felt good in the 440cc 10.5 but I have very few comparison points of reference :-)

TOUR GRADE ALDILA TRINITY SHAFT
MATRIX 7M3 BLACK TIE SHAFT

Apparently the Matrix is lower spin, does it cost to upgrade or are they the same price?

Matrix very low spin…guys in the us (wrx) were saying it was hard to get it airborn with the black tie

Trinity was fine. But im enjoying the blur I bought.

Slightly higher launch than trinity. Easier to shape it though with blur.

Dave and others – obviously the Extreme is an excellent club which is why you bought it, but has anyone tried it against the Ping Anser? It’s also apparently a very low spinning driver, which is what I’m after. Thinking I might demo those two against each other

I havent used it

getting rave reviews though

Got a hold of one yesterday to upgrade my current RazrFit,

Cant wait to get out on the range and have a play around with the settings, 9.5 with the matrix 7m3 black tie.

Very nice looking piece of kit!

was regretting not holding out for the Ping Anser driver; now I’m regretting not holding out for this…

Open the door and the flies swarm in,
Close the door and I’m sweatin’ again,
And in the process I crack my shin,
Just one dern thing after another.

you’ll notice it comes out lower especially withn the black tie shaft

I have just started to get used to it. I have V2 shaft coming soon also

Yeah I read your previous mentioning that, might set the face to open to get a tad more loft.

Spewing been working last 2 days, only been able to look at it not hit it!!!

I demoed the Ping Anser, Razr Extreme and X Hot today against my Cobra S3. The X Hot was the clear winner for me. Just amazingly straight and consistent. The blue Project X 6.0 shaft was, for me, magic.
