Hey Folks,

Just a quick question for you blokes gaming the Titleist 910Fs. If the 910F is the better choice if you use your 3W more off the deck and the 910Fd is the better choice if you plan to use it more off the tee, do you guys find that, by extension, that means that the 910F isn’t as good off the tee (ie, just like every other 3W) and the 910Fd is dog’s balls off the deck?
I need a new 3W and am not sure which way to go. I’d probably be using it more off the tee on the shorter/narrower 4s, but I’d still want something that’s capable off the deck for when needed… . I’ve just received my 913D2, but am bummed that the 913F & 913H aren’t our ‘til Feb… Cheers.

Get an RBZ 3 wood, from the tee or off the deck they are the business. Stock shaft works great with them too

You reckon? The white turns me off a bit, plus I spent a few shit months earlier in the year struggling with an R11 that’s left me with a bad taste for TM. I see a few guys on the ISG forum who play a great kit (like yourself), yet opt for RBZ fairways. Care to tell me a little more on what you love about them? Do you find the speed pocket works? Some say it gets caught in the dirt, or something… . Thanks mate. What standard shaft options do they come with?

I can’t stand white was what my mates said until they hit my 3 wood & now it’s all their most loved stick. The shafts are a little longer than standard & the heads are bigger but off the tee or deck they are monsters. They get the ball up in the air quickly & keep going & going. You’ll soon get over the white when you are belting the tripe out of it. R11 & rbz are completely different mate, I wouldn’t compare the two. Word is the rbz fairways released early next year will be adjustable.,

Have a 910F 3 wood – 13 degree Ahina Stiff. I can’t get the cosistency off the deck with it so it doesn’t get much bag time. The combination of the low loft ( should have got the 15.5 Degree ), the low lauching Ahina shaft and probably some swing inconsistencies makes this one too much bat for me.

When the planets align and I get it right, its a monster and can get about 230m off the fairway and about 240m off the tee.

The FD is suppose to be harder to hit off the fairway so wouldn’t be the one for me.

I stick with an R11 4 wood that I picked up second hand off the bay and I can hit this off any resonable lie 210 and straight nearly every time. I do miss the extra distance every now and again, but not enough to sacrifice consistency.

The world’s full of apathy, but I don’t care.

I have a 910F 15* that’s money from the deck.

I still struggle with it off the tee though :(

Might ditch it for the RBZ monster !!!

I’m yet to meet someone who has hit mine or a mate’s RBZ & hasn’t thought it was the ducks nuts.

910F is more versatile being a shallow head. I use a 15 degree tweaked to 14.25 with a graphite design DI-8 and its the best 3w I’ve hit…...and I’ve hit them all!

.....off tee and fwy…..no probs…..FD is a rocket off the tee but inconsistent off the deck

Guys,

Just FYI here’s an update (cos I’m sure you’re on the edge of your seats salivating:)). Yesterday I picked up the 910Fd and 910H – love them both. Went to a local pro shop and he gave me the RBZ 3W and Ping i20 3W (both with stock standard S-flex shafts) and the 910Fd to trial on the range. Hit all three off the deck and off a short tee. First up was RBZ: hit the thing sweetly and didn’t see where it went – not cos it was a bad swing, but cos it blasted high and long. I was just peering down the end of the range waiting to see a ball drop…eventually. Massive head on it, for a 3W. It kept on going great, but by the end of its trial I felt it the club was a bit too light and went a bit too high for my liking. I found it accurate and long though, so if you’re after a game improvement 3W can’t go past it.
Then the Ping i20 3W – which I had used briefly before with the Project X 6.0. It went great as well and pretty much matched the 910Fd in all aspects. However, I just felt the 910Fd had a more solid feel to it – it’s well weighted, and when you hit it properly it has that nice low initial ball flight, then just keeps climbing and climbing. Goes great – will be an awesome weapon off the tee on narrow/short 4s when the 913D2 beast isn’t required. I chose the 910Fd (15 degrees) cos the 910F they had in the shop was only 17 degrees. I was wary of having trouble with the 910Fd off the deck, but I hit it well off the dirt, so should do the trick. Admittedly, when I hit all three off the dirt I put the ball on a decent bit grass (obviously not always the case on the course), but I also tried them off slightly more dodgy lies. And anyway, that’s where the 910H comes in. I’ve been struggling with an Adams Idea A12 Pro ever since I bought it – my miss is a slice, but the A12 Pro almost always hooked, so I barely used it. But the 910H (19 degrees) was solid and I had no problem keeping them straight. The 910Fd has a Diamana 82 ahina S-flex and the 910H a (blue) Diamana Kai’li 80H S-flex. I’ve got a Diamana whiteboard 72 D+ S-Flex in my 913D2, so perhaps it’s a bit weird that the shafts in the 3W and Hybrid are heavier, but they felt great to hit. And the whole reason I replaced my old driver and 3W was cos the shafts were way too light.
Anyway, now my set is complete – no more forking out for clubs for me for a while! Lest it ends in divorce:). And I’m quite happy with what I’ve got in the bag now: 913D2, 910Fd, 910H, Adams Idea Black CB3 4-PW, Adams Tom Watson wedges (52, 56, 60) and Odyssey Metal X 2-ball putter.

Very happy with my FD; tee and fairway. Great choice FJ

i have a 13.5 910FD which is a monster of the tee, difficult to start with off the deck, but bit of practice and drill it from the ground too

I have the 910F 17deg adjusted down to 15.5deg.

Off the tee, it is my go to club for tight holes.
Off the deck is average. I go to my Adams Super XTD for my go to club off the deck.

I have a 15 degree 910 F. I got it adjusted flat to suit my height and that means is sits perfectly on the ground, unlike many fairways that sit toe up.

Goes great off the fairway.

I was worried that it would not be so good off the tee but found it goes really well off the tee as well. I use the shortest castle tee and tee it up really close to the ground.
