I’ve got 2 Cobra Hybrids and love them. Both are easy to hit.

The Baffler T-Rail… 13 degree loft is brilliant off either the fairway or the tee. I was worried about picking the ball up of the deck with it being so flat, but the ball flight is strong and high. It’s going about 230m… so I’m using it more and more instead of the driver – which I put about 260. Surprisingly workable.

I’ve also got a Cell Amp 22-25 degree adjustable hybrid. Again… a high ball flight… I’ve got it set at 24 – which brings it down steep on the longer par 3’s. I do struggle a little to work this club compared to the little Nike CPR 24degree I replaced, but that’s what irons are for, right?

I’m keen to upgrade the R9 – and I’ll be looking to the Cobra range. Very impressed with everything Cobra – despite the colours, which are terrible.

I’ve also started using Cobra S2 forged irons. My bag is full of Cobra clubs which isn’t by design… it’s just that I like what I demo from them so end up buying. (I love the Mizuno MP64’s more… just gotta get some coin together)

I’ve held the red, which looks like a lovely maroon in person. Didn’t check out the blue as I wouldn’t buy blue. The white/silver looks snazzy.

The blue is dead set sexy and easily the pick of the colours. Takes pride of place in my bag. I reckon 2 or 3 of my mates will buy them because they hit so well, and maybe another because he loves the look of them.

They all do look good though – I am actually upset that the pink version is womens only. If I could get the men’s spec driver in the pink colour, I’d have bought one already.

Guess I’ll have to wait for a covert then….

I called into Drummond Golf last Saturday arvo with my wife on the way to visit my father in law and well they had both the Driver and Hybrid I wanted with the stiff shaft and they were on special and bugger me my wife agreed that I should buy them!!! w00t.

So I now have the set I wanted, all in the Silver colouring, Driver, 3-4 Fairway wood and 2-3 Hybrid.

Had a test 8 holes Monday afternoon and GPS distances, The Driver when set to 10.5 deg for me went a little high but the distances were about 240m but when I changed it to 9.5 deg I was able to hit a drive of 250m into the wind on the 8th hole can’t wait to see how it goes tomorrow in comp.

The Fairway gets between 220m and 235 set at 4+ and the Hybrid set at 3 gets about 210 – 220m so a pretty good set up.

BTW my swing speed is about 104 mph with a Driver if that helps.
These distances will be clarified once I have had a few more rounds with them.

Love my 5-7 Amp cell (in orange). Can play driver/5-6w at my short home course or driver/4w/7w at longer courses.
