sorry to but in here boys,

does the aldila nvs play as a firm reg ? it’s a bronzey colour.

i have a razr with a stock reg and is too soft, i have a nvs spare in a old driver.

Something

I think the NVS stiff isn’t as stiff as a project X or Graphite Design, so in my opinion you would do well to put the NVS in yoor current driver. You may have to get a sleeve/adaptor though.

Driver: Callaway Razr Fit 9.5
Fairway: Callaway Razr Fit 15*, TM R500 7 Wood
Irons: 3 – PW Mizuno MP 68
Wedges: Taylor Made RAC 58 & 60 Degrees
Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2.5
Ball: Titleist Pro V1x

Bought a razr today via ebay

pro launch axis blue stiff shaft

hopefully it does the trick

$315 via the bay, golf box had an offer driver with a free 3 wood – hmm was temped but don’t need a 3 wood as I have one but rarely use it.

should be here early next week

Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding?

Dave, you should try the 3 wood. it is the goods, I’m questioning if i really need a driver the way i hit that thing, mostly don’t take driver out in the bag with no real ill effect on the game.

I got a Razrfit with a F1 motore in stiff fitted about 3 months ago, I tried all the usual suspects but this fella out performed them in distance and dispersion, in the end I trialed the RBZ and the Razrfit over a period of two weeks on the course, just reinforced my earlier thoughts that the Razrfit was a much better club for me, funnily enough I thought the Razrfit 3 wood was a dog compared to the RBZ 3 wood, so I went with the RBZ.
I am totally in love with the Razrfit driver and cant imagine replacing it for a long time.

Something

I have an old srixon 3 wood 13 degrees that Im loath t part with, its lowish ball flight specific for windy days, where I play its a windy links course

A high 3 wood flight with any shjape on it will just turn into a hook or slice if its a fade or draw

I hit that 200-210 thats enough

and I nly se 2 or 3 times a round if that

Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding?

Could have sold the 3 wood and recouped some money :-)

I finally gave my Razr Fit with the FujikuraF1 Motore Stiff Flex Shaft a run last week. After looking the goods on the range it took some getting used to on the course, mainly trying to work out the tee height compared to my last couple of drivers, but when I did connect it launched the ball magnificently. I am now going to try the draw setting as I do tend to fade the drives a little.

I thought that but happy with 3 wood I have

Im figuring heaps will take up the offer then wont like the 3 wood and then there will be heaps about going cheap eh!! :-) if I do happen to demo one somewhere

Ok the beast arrived on wednesday arvy

was quickly shoved “into the shad” so missus didnt see it

and I have had a couple of 9 hole tests with it

what I love?

accuracy in spades, very forgiving on mishits

long – NO really, bout the same as most 10.5 drivers I have hit, Im not going to lie and say it rips it longer

shaping the ball was easy which is huge for me as I havent been able to shape the 8.5 Im using BAR HOOKING IT OB and that aint shaping it at all

fely heavy at adress but it took some getting used to but it felt great swining it. Its fitted with a pro launch axis blue 60 gram shaft

I may take an inch of the butt end

I liked it into the wind. I could hit a nice draw easily enough and hold a fade coming back the other way – our course has cross wins alllot so shaping is essential

its really accurate thats what I like about it…

sound wise I prefer a bit less noise, its q composite head but sounds more like a titanuim driver but its not too bad

first comp tomorrow with it

Glad you’re liking it and it’s not a disaster!

I take risks buying gear not tried but I listen and read a bit too

Like I said in the other thread “whats in our bag”

I like the hobby side of golf, for me its not all about results and achieving cap goals

I like the tinkering side of things

going to try some shafts in this driver

The razr fit is a keeper. Its straight

It just works a treat!

If you need a fairway finder – try it

Aldila RIP shafts play a tad softer than the standard. A stiff is really a R+ but I like the how the shaft is loading, its is really a very good shaft.

I thought a Stiff Aldila Rip has 2.8 torque and is suited to about 105mph swing.

2.8 is like a friggin cricket stump

I would look at a Razr fit 3 wood if I could afford it.

But no, I had to buy a new driver shaft.
I already hit my driver well, why do I need a new one???

glad to hear you are enjoying the new driver dave. So you’re finding it much more forgiving than the ZL Encore? I am def keen to get the Razr Fit, particularly with the free 3W promotion they have on at the moment. I played with the Razr X Black in Canada and smashed it much straighter, hitting 70% fairways compared to about 40% with Encore. When i connect with the Encore I can carry it about 240-250, but can’t do regularly enough. Would much rather hit 70% and be 10-20mtr shorter. how much shorter are you with Razr compared to Enocre?

I will be putting my ZL Encore on the bay for sale this week.

Cobra AMP Cell Hybrid 19

probabaly 6-7 meters at most but accuracy was an issue at time and our course is links course with savage rough in the second cut

the mishits on the razr are bloody good, I hit one on the heel and it still went 190 straight!!

we have some narrow fairways too were accuracy is pso needed
our par 5’s are genuine 3 shotters as we have kike fairways and they are all 500 meters but play like 550 so a straight drive is needed so you can lay up to 80-100

Im rapt with this driver and shaft works ok for me

Urgent advice needed gents.

I’ve found a Razr Fit 10.5 within my budget (possibly) with the following info below. I remember someone here (Dave?) saying that the Razr Fits launch the ball either higher or lower than you expect based on loft, but which is it???

I was told by a pro that 9.5 is ideal for me based on my launch, but I have my 9.5 current driver set to closed which adds loft. It goes mid-high but not too balloony.

However if I buy a 10.5 Razr Fit and set it up to avoid a slice, will it then go too high? I could attempt keeping it square and just using the heel weight at first, but if I close the face as well (dodgy swing) will it launch too high?

I never buy stuff without demoing first but this and another club are so cheap compared to normal that I am tempted to take my chances!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Razr fit 10.5 deg driver

With a 55 gram stiff Accra proto tour Z shaft (M4) this shaft is a $200 upgraded shaft …Its also been pured in America.

This is a stiff tipped shaft – suit someone in the 95mph and upwards in swing speed.

As a bonus Im including a V2 shaft (needs a adaptor tip) the V2 is a reg that plays firm. Tip needs replacing.

My ss is 100-105mph and I am a slicer :-)

Yes thats mine

I fade and it straightened my fade

Loft is king

You can deloft the razr fit too by face angel

Only selling coz I went razr fit xtreme.

I’ll knock a $10 bucks off for any isg er who buys it.

You can email me on

Sadly someone else found it and bid on it and it went out of my price range. I was hoping to ninja it but it was not to be!

Get an 8.5, increase the loft by 1 which will close the face a little to help with your slice a bit & you’ll have your 9.5* loft you were recommended. Easy peasy!

Phil Mickelson agrees with you dave :-)

Mickelson, who switched from a RAZR Hawk Tour driver to one of Callaway’s latest driver offerings on Tuesday, following a productive range session, averaged 298 yards off the tee for the week, including a 358-yard drive during the second round.

“This driver spins so low that I can have more loft on the club, making it easier to hit,” Mickelson said. “This has got to be good for every player I would think, but it sure as heck is good for me. And by having it be a low-spin driver with enough loft, and because it’s that RAZR Fit Xtreme where you can fit it, I was able to get it dialed in to where it goes straight. But I’m able to make the same golf swing as my irons so you’ll see me extend down the target line, you won’t see this kind of tilt because it’s not enough loft to get up and it’s not low enough spin to not float, and it has been — it really could be a revolutionary club for me.”

The 9.5-degree driver has an actual loft of 8.1-degrees with 5 grams in the toe and 3 grams in the heel. The 45-inch shaft is a Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki K. 059 prototype model 70X.

Phil Mickelson’s bag:

Driver: Callaway RAZR Fit Xtreme Driver (9.5 degrees) with a Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki K. 059 prototype model 70X shaft

3-wood: TaylorMade RocketBallz (13-degree, bent to 11.5 degrees)

5-wood: Titleist 980F 5-wood (17-degree) with a Graphite Design PM 902 shaft

Irons (4-PW): Callaway RAZR X Muscleback Irons with True Temper Project X 7.0 shafts

Wedges: Callaway JAWS Wedges (52 degrees, 60 degrees, 64 degrees)

Putter: Odyssey Black Series Tour Design #9

Ball: Callaway HEXBlack Tour golf ball

yeah hes got to stop copying me – Im getting sick of it!!

I rang him last week and said get the Xtreme in the bag dood!!

oddly I used to use the Odyssey xg #9 putter too -

Geez he even has the same putting grip as me

he spoke about the razr fit on the weekend being so forgiving

he drove it long at Phoenix Open

I played nine tonight and on 17 I had a slight tailwind – our 17 is 340 meters up a hill with kike fairway

I have hit driver then a half 54 degree wedge from 60 meters out

I have never driven it that far on our 17th

I’m usually hitting 7 iron from 140 out

this thing GOES and GOES!!

Its so nice at adress also – its asking to be spanked

Opinions on the Aldila RIP’D NV60 shaft?
