Callaway Razr Fit driver - thoughts or impressions

Been chatting over on the dark side Allot of love for this bat Reviews are good too. Launch monitor stats from testers claim its off the chatt I need more loft in driver. I was just going to get a zl encore with more loft (still might) But this bat in serious contention.

I’m using a zl encore 8.5 white I like it, great disatnce when Im hitting it well, but my sprays can be bad! I also think my swing speed really isnt suited to a 8.5 loft. I swing at 95-97 mph I need more loft, what my plan is to get a zl encore in 10.5…by seling then 8.5 with a shaft in it willl purchase a Razr fit as well – see which one cmes out tops everything I have read about it is that its a great driver. I cant demo it as our golf store has closed here (he was a peanut anyways)

I’ve got one, yet to use it on the course..next Friday will be its first real outing. But judging from how I’ve hit it at the range it looks like I’m on a winner. I’ll let you know after next Friday.

Hey Dave, I have a White ZL Encore 10.5 (rh) and would be open to a reasonable offer…. I just dont like it and think i need something more forgiving. Its about 3mths old and in perfect condition.

Give the razr x black a hit, much easier on the pocket and I recon it hits just as nice. No adjustability though.

I demoed the Razr Black and it felt super solid and stable. I like the more muted sound of the Callaway composite driver heads. Haven’t tried the Razr Fit though as it’s out of my price range

I’ve got the Razr Fit uDesign ‘Orange’. It has a Grafalloy Matrix stiff shaft and is 9.5 degrees. I hit this driver at a demo day and ordered one immediately after. It’s the best driver I’ve hit. I still have my FT-3 Tour, but with the Razr Fit you have the flexibility to change the heel/toe weighting and face angle, to promote a a draw or fade. If you’re worried about ball flight, you’ll get a pretty high ball flight with 9.5. I still prefer the feel of my FT-3 but the Razr Fit puts another 10-15 metres on my good drives.

The shaft is stiff. Wouldnt sell the head only as I am wanting to get rid of it for a TM Rocketballz.

How much are Razr Fit? A mate of mine went to the Callaway Fitting Centre in Alexandria and did the full fit out and then ordered one. Apparently they are selling well…

$400 – $529 in the major retailers depending on shaft. I don’t want to hit one as I can’t afford to buy it if I like it :-)

I have RAZR Hawk and RAZR Fit with RIP shafts. After a honeymoon period I am back with RAZR Hawk.

Dave, I’m selling my Razr Fit. It’s a uDesign in Orange with Grafalloy stiff shaft, 9.5 degree loft. It launches a bit high for my liking. Only had 1 round with it.

what you looking for it? do you have it advertised anywhere how stiff is the grafalloy? what specs I need a softer stiffy (LOL) or a firm reg

Would be happy with $300. Haven’t put it on eBay yet. The Grafalloy plays a little like the Aldila NVS, however it launches higher than the NVS I have in my FT-3 Tour. Whereabouts are you? I’m in Sydney.

I think the NVS stiff isn’t as stiff as a project X or Graphite Design, so in my opinion you would do well to put the NVS in yoor current driver. You may have to get a sleeve/adaptor though.

Aldila RIP shafts play a tad softer than the standard. A stiff is really a R+ but I like the how the shaft is loading, its is really a very good shaft.

thanks jooma and chevy, I’ll have the nvs fitted to the razr fit as i just spray it everywhere atm with the stock reg. thanks
