Been thinking of upgrading my burner 09 rescue to either the Superfast 2.0 hybrid or the R11 rescue. Anyone hit both?
|
|
Haven’t hit the rescue’s but they can’t be too bad I guess. Got the driver going on the weekend, most confidence I’ve felt off the tee in a while. Of course it has to be the R11.

Played with a guy using the R11 rescue on the weekend (it was white, not the superfast, so I assume it was R11) – smoked a tee shot on a 200m par 3 to 3 feet. I suspect it may have had more to do with him than the club. Looked pretty cool, though.
Shot more than 36 points in an OOM day….seriously. |

Now using 18 degree rescue {R11 stiff model} after having the superfast stiff rescue and is rather adaptable as able to launch the ball into the air and drop softly or hit with lower flight into headwind like today on 190 metre par 3, also have R11 stiff 3 wood as mentioned in earlier post and during some friendly sledging today flushed one way past a rather well struck Superfast Burner Driver by a fellow player {much to his suprise}.Well worth the upgrade and just need a new release R11 putter.

Took my new bats out today for a bash. And all I can say is wow. Was super long and straight. Had the driver set on 9.5 neutral and heel weighted. Was getting about 20m more then my old burner. 3 wood just as good. Looking forward to putting them in play on the weekend as my driving has been poor of late. And hitting a few more fairways can only help take the pressure off my short game.

love my R11 3wood, its a great club and LOOOOONNNNGGGG :)

Just got my driver today, whoa, its a very good looking driver and i love the adjustability – i love the options to be able to change my driver at the drop of a hat

You can do the same with the R11

Yeah good Bully. Had 37 points. Hit 11 of 14 fairways which was happy with. The misses weren’t to bad either. Probably trying for a bit more juice. Smooth swing and they fly.

Azza, sounds good….what was your ball flight/path like before the R11? How about the 3 wood? How did that go? Im loooking at another driver….still not sure which way to go…R11, 910D3, Srixon Z-Star…maybe even the Cobra…also maybe a 3 wood to match. Choices are endless and confusing.

Old driver was a burner with an Aldila NV stiff shaft. Similar ball flight though a bad swing resulted in a bad miss. High left or low right. Just had no confidence in it in the end. Which lead to more bad swings. 3wood never really had a problem with the old one. Just got a good deal in getting both. Easy to work it either way the few times in use. I know alot of people say the white heads are a gimmick but it suits my eye. Now confidence is back on the tee which can only be a good thing. How long it last who knows but I’m pleased with the purchase.

I have had mine since about May 2011. My R11 has a Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana Kai’li 70 in Stiff. This driver rocks and is very easy to hit and to work as well. Quite long but not crazy long like some GI drivers. Coming from a Mizuno MX560, its a huge difference especially the stability of the heavier shaft. The shaft and head combo is excellent and a lot better than the stock Blur. Also I have changed he weights with a 8g in the heel and 4g in the toe. The weights do make quite a difference as does changing the loft. I change mine between 11.0 and 10.5 from time to time. 10.5 gives me plenty of roll. 11.0 gives me a bit more carry. Not sre what setup I will stick with. I am really happy with it actually.

Gave the 3w a crack on the weekend. 15 deg set low and open. Loved it, first 3w I’ve hit well in a long time.

Got fitted with an RIP 60 stiff for my R11, when it arrived it just went ok. Then a mate gave me an xstiff prolaunch red and now this club is a rocket launcher, hit more fairways and longer. No idea why l hit the xstiff better, swing speed is around 105

Must be good
Broomsticks, Trevor Chappell and Lance Armstrong love theirs. |

Bought the R11 3 wood and after a few rounds put the ‘07 burner 3 wood back in the bag. The ‘ol trusty!

You 100% on that? I was under the impression that when you changed the loft, the angle of the face changed along with it.

Just had a look on the website… I stand corrected.

Just had my first round today with my new R11. Definatley longer than my previous sticks. I’m not really a big hitter. Average about 190-200. But today was definatley hitting atleast 2 clubs shorter on my 2nd shots. I have it set to low flight. Face neutral and weighted for a draw. Hit one bad drive which ended up being a playable fade. Gotta say. My mate asked me what I thought of the white head. And to be honest. I can’t tell you. It just seemed normal. Looks like the 3 wood and rescue are on the cards now too

Bought the R11s driver last week and its good. Straight out of the box it has straightened up a slight slice(used the c+) setting as I have an out to in swing like most shit golfers:D Bought runout R11 irons today also, they sit nice for me although my mizzies are going no where(apart from maybe restarting due to rust and age).
I’ve tried seeing things from your point of view but I can’t get my head that far up my arse !! |
