Hey! What sort of socks do you wear when playing ?? I was thinking plain cotton ‘normal’ socks. I need to make sure I’m going to get the right fit when I try shoes…..... Cheers.
Golf is not a matter of life and death…it’s far more important than that. |

Thorlo socks are the greatest socks for sport. They are not cheap but in the long term end up being better great value for money

I don’t have a particular preference, as long as it’s got some thickness to protect from heel blisters and what not. I saw some Footjoy ones somewhere on special (can’t remember for certain whether it was the Penrith Golf Factory or somewhere else) that I might try a pair or 2 of.

I am in retail and sell footwear. People spend $100 plus on footwear and then use $2 socks from kmart and wonder why get blisters. Try some of following brands. Thorlo, bridgedale, horizon, xsocks and expect to pay $30ish. Worth every cent. I have used various brands on freebies from suppliers and the best I have found is bridgedale cycling ankle socks, suprisingly enough. I can give you the teco details if anyone wants it.

And why would you like to look as if you aren’t wearing socks? White belts I can live with, but if looking as if you don’t wear socks, Villegas style, is a fashion trend, it’s totally lost on me.

I wear South Sydney football socks. They’re thick so they help with blisters and most importantly look the part with my Adidas 360’s.

Couldn’t imagine wearing anything other than Thorlos.
No one off more than 3 shapes the ball. It’s called a hook or a slice. |

I prefer a large pair of footy socks, which I stuff down the front of my pants to get the attention of the ladies at my golf club.

Kathmandu Wool hiking socks. Just the best sport socks I have ever worn…. Only problem is they are black or blue. This means at a snobby course I wear a thin white oversock to stop complaints…

I’m with Waldo65. Cycling socks are great. I wear Ground Effects (Mountain Bike ) socks, not as short as roadie ones. Merino/nylon blend. Thicker ones in the colder months. With my Etonics i’m super comfy. Mmmm, noice. :)
