Anyone tried a steel shaft in todays major drivers?

Hi Guys,

I have always used graphite shafts in my drivers and have been through a fair few of the main ones. Has anyone tried a steel shaft in some of the major drivers and what sort of differences do they notice eg length, feel and accuracy etc?

Cheers

probably feels darn heavy…..

If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ?
Square is Good ? Sure is, if it's the right stick !

Be a bit “kinky” I reckon…

Political Correctness is doctrine fostered by a delusional minority and by the media, which holds forth the proposition it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Doesn’t tiger use a steel shaft in his driver?

Haven’t use one in a driver but have been using a rifle in my 3-w for a while now and absolutely love it. Can’t see the feel being much different to a driver.

back in the day I had a taylor made bubble burner with a stiff steel shaft. was due to the fact that i snapped it frequently, (no i’m not proud of that, its why i gave the game away for 6 years) but the biggest thing i found was extra weight. I don’t think it ever performed as well as a quality graphite though.

why go steel when graphite has such a wide selection to optimise your game ?
