Plugging clubs

Is plugging a club 1/2” any different to having 1/2” over shafts in performance if the club is swingweighted to suit after plugging it?

What do you mean by “plugging”

Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by
the occasional miracle.

he means putting in a plug under the grip that results in a 1/2” extension.

3 bad shots and 1 good shot is still a 4....
Golf is played in a very small area, the 6 inches between your ears...

One swing to hit the ball,
one swing to find a score,
One swing you bring to all,
And on the fairway find them.

it’s the same chris either way.

But really why bother with just 1/2 inch difference?

Just try them shorter and see if they perform.

True. My current irons are 1/2” over and i like them. I will try them for a while and see how they go. Micky, i like the old macs, except one club. The 6 iron….It seems to be alot chunkier than all of the others and i just dont like it. I looked on a few US forums and they say the same, the 6 iron has a thicker top line. Weird…..I will admit though, great irons, very under rated and so cheap ATM.
