I have one in my driver, a 905S, they are a nice solid shaft. Weems a lot of people like them. Whether it will suit you depends on your swing and what you are looking for in a shaft.
down and out…did ya get that? |

Tried one in my R7 about 12 months ago – lost about 20 metres on drives, so went back to the standard shaft – V2 is not for me! :)

i’ve compared it to a whole lot of different, same calibre shafts like the nv, vs proto, prolaunch red, diamana blueboard, graphalloy blue; even the graphalloy epic and the diamana whiteboard. The V2 is my pick of the lot in terms of feeling powerful, they feel about half as heavy as they are. A 66g V2 feels so much lighter that an aldila vs-proto 65. In terms of control you don’t feel AS in control as the other shafts, partly because you feel like you’re swinging it at 150 mph. Adam scott seems to use it to good effect, and if i was getting a new driver now i’d probably get it too. It doesn’t seem to be the lowest launch out of them all so i’d say its more likely to suit a serious amateur as opposed to a masters champion better than the other premium shafts out there.

They are gaining momentum amongst the players that are looking for something new. We have done several over the last few weeks.

Love them, and sell heaps of them. The High launch goes OK too. I personally have only hit the LD version and the MOI in an Xflex but they seem very consistent and pretty good value.

I tried one in a G10 driver a while ago. I didn’t like it at all… it felt all wrong. Admittedly it was a regular flex shaft, but even taking that in to account it felt very soft and didn’t suit my swing at all. The G10 and regular V2 combination certainly wasn’t for me!

Tried one in sq sumo and loved it..was mates driver and it went shabang…long…feels lighter than it says… wouldnt use it in my burner as I love the stock shaft but you could do worse than a V2 for sure

Got fitted last year for one, my previous driver shaft stats were: Head speed:109 mph The V2 wasn’t option no.1 by any means, but one of three. I went for the 77g version. its stats were: Head Speed: 112 I gained about 8 to 10 metres or so, no more, but the HUGE plus was to be able to stand over a drive feeling that it was a really hard shaft to hook.

I’m looking at getting one put in my L4V. My brother has one in his R7 CBG in X-stiff, I gave it a go and it felt pure. Going back to the S flex stock Damana in the L4V felt way too whippy. Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get one of these fitted?

I’m getting an Aldila NV 60s Protopype put in my L4VX. Hadn’t even thought about a V2, but with the head the way it is perhaps the V2 MOI would be worth looking at…

I actually put a V2 MOI X flex into one of my long drive heads (6* Geek DCT) and it felt great and went even better. It was just inserted with no tipping or butt cut and consistently put up ball speeds in excess of 190mph which is good from a standard off the shelf X flex.

the shaft in my burner tp snapped so i replaced it with a v2.the pro at my club rated them very highly so i gave it a go.ball flight is medium to high and very happy with the length.great shaft!

Wilson Staff Spine Driver uses this one. I would buypine tomorrow but the sound is just wrong but I love the G10 but can’t afford one UST V2 HMOI Tour Series

I had a driver made up to match the specs of my Vsteel 3W.
Where do you live Forewood?

V2’s are great. They have a really stable tip. Minimal torque.
|
|
I have found the v2’s to spin too much

All of my clubs bar the putter have them. I love them. They’re great for my purposes anyway. Driver has HMOI regular flex. Woods and hybrid have standard V2, regular flex. Irons have standard V2, uniflex. I particularly like having V2’s in the irons. They feel so much easier to use and nicer to swing/hit than anything else that I’ve tried.

I live in the Canberra area. Was thinking of going to Drummond and using the Clubfit system to get swing speed, etc. and get a quote from them, but I have heard they are expensive. The only other option around here I think is Pete’s, or a local pro.
