I have noticed these guys advertising around the place. Does anybody no much about them – I’m mostly interested in thoughts on the Blackhawk 460 driver.

Lind Golf

A golf buddy of mine bought a 3 wood and a putter. The head fell off the putter after 2 rounds but they replaced it without an issue. Both clubs are still in his bag.

Mind you he’s a Scot who’s tight as a fishes a$$.

PT

Golfsmith sell the TT dynamic gold shaft for US$11 each
Lind sell an UPGRADE from their std shaft to the TT for Aus$27 each
draw your own conclusions.

I bought one of the mojo 3woods off of em, delivery was fast, no issues with the club at all.

If you are not into spending alot on golf clubs (like me) then they deserve a try IMHO

By the way their drivers at $199
imho is not that Cheap !! C’mon
for that sum or less you can get a branded OEM esp a good second hand stick online

if it’s say $150 or less than it’s More OK

If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ?

In Lindgolf’s opinion as well
“We strongly advise getting your lie fitting done in person. Online fittings while accurate do not take into account your natural ball address.”

Apparently they want you to buy the clubs cut to length and get someone else to adjust the lie angles.

it’s a disclaimer
so nobody can blame them in case things get all screwed up !!

Hi Everyone,

By way of an introduction my name is Brad Lindenberg. I am the founder of Lind Golf. I noticed this thread beginning to grow and thought it would be a good idea to jump in and have a say.

I understand the concern regarding the accuracy of custom fitting online. An online fitting will never be as accurate as a personalised fitting and we realise that (and are the first to admit it). There are elements of a persons stance and swing that simply cannot be accounted for over the web, however an industry standard has evolved in fitting where measurements of wrist to floor and height are used to determine the correct shaft length for a golfer. We’ve chosen to support this standard through our fitting wizard. A personalised fitting from any retail store will ask you for your height and wrist to floor measurements and will derive their recommended shaft length the same way as we do.

We realise this is a problem and have addressed it by offering demonstration nights starting in Sydney and expanding around the country. Just attend a demo night and we can analyze your swing and stance in person. Lie adjustment will also be offered from April. Feel free to book a time slot at any of our demo nights. http://www.lindgolf.com.au/customer-service/demo-days

Another concern was the price of our True Temper shafts. Local supply of golf shafts is expensive. Wholesale prices are higher than US retail prices. We are working on this and a significant price reduction in the upgrade costs for True Temper shafts should come through shortly. It is our intention and in our best interest to deliver the best value to all golfers. Unfortunately the market for golf hardware in Australia is 15 times smaller than the US so we don’t always get the best deals locally.

Custom fitting is only one of our points of difference. We offer a great service and a great product, delivered quickly and pride ourselves on our ability to deliver on the major trends in club design before anyone else does. Our MOJO and Blackhawk range are examples of this. We try to ensure all orders placed before 3pm are built the same day and shipped the next day so you can play with your Lind custom clubs sooner. Some companies and retail stores take up to 21 days to build their custom clubs, and another few days for delivery. We always have stock of our clubs and components and don’t “drop ship” or rely on third party distributors. We offer a 14 day 100% money back satisfaction guarantee. Our money is where our mouth is! Build them, love them or return them. Simple. Lind Golf clubs also carry a 1 year replacement warranty.

Our clubs have been tried and tested by thousands of golfers across the country. Some of them have left testimonials which are unedited original comments. See what they said: http://www.lindgolf.com.au/customer-service/testimonials

Purchasing custom golf clubs online is a relatively recent concept in Australia and the experience is different to the traditional retail experience. We are constantly improving our methods, techniques and products to ensure you end up with the most accurate fit possible while delivering the latest technologies and trends in golf at great prices.

I’d like to thank the forum members who’ve supported us in the past. We really appreciate your business and hope to continue delivering great value and quality into the future. We’ve got some great products in the pipeline and big plans for the future. I’d also like to thank those who have commented in this thread. This kind of feedback is fantastic. We are always trying to improve things at Lind.

Selling online makes it difficult to get good feedback from our customers as we don’t get to speak to them in person. By assisting in identifying weaknesses we can make positive changes that will improve our offerings, lower our prices and deliver overall improvements to the golfing community.

If you’d like more information about our products or would like to chat about custom fitting or anything further, feel free to call me (Brad) directly on our national number, 1300 795 828.

Cheers,

Brad,

Why all the clones mate? What about quality components like Wishon, Maltby, Snake Eyes etc? Can you not look at something like them?

Regarding pricing, I understand your issues with the U.S. I have done some clubmaking as a hobby with the plan to go into business but there is not the market in the rural area I live in at the moment. That said, $27 for a DG seems a bit over the top.

Do you envision yourself making the fitting system any more complete in the future?

down and out…did ya get that?

Hi Brad

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have a Lind Putter. From memory I was very happy with the whole process from service to delivery and of course the price.

Good luck with growing your business.

Eek

Toolish,

It was entirely this misconception which gave me the confidence to start Lind Golf in the first place. Until you’ve been to China, to the factories, the real source, it’s easy to believe there is much of a difference between how and where golf clubs are manufactured and the performance differences between them. Marketing messages lead us to believe that the quality of brands you’ve never heard of are inferior to the quality of brands you have heard of. The honest truth is that I’ve seen Snake Eyes components being manufactured in our cast iron foundries and Snake Eyes grips in our grip factory. I’ve seen other brands being manufactured in the same place too. When you see the price premium placed on them in the retail marketplace it just doesn’t add up.

The real difference between golf clubs in the middle and top tiers(1) is how they are marketed. Essentially the manufacturing methods and materials used are identical across both tiers.

Lind delivers top tier quality, and upper-middle tier quality golf clubs, at middle tier pricing by selling directly. Of course the direct business model has its disadvantages but it’s just an education process. For the golf industry this way of delivering product is different and will take some getting used to however from our experience so far people are embracing the idea and coming back for more.

Essentially we are an Australian company trying to deliver to Australians a service and products that the US has had for many years.

As I mentioned in the previous post, the pricing of our Dynamic Gold shafts will be reduced shortly.

We are working to expand our custom fitting wizard to take into account a number of other elements to make the process even more accurate.

Next time you’re looking to purchase a new driver or any other clubs, give me a call as I’d love you to try ours and see for yourself.

Sincerely,

Brad,

Great effort by you to hop onto the ISG website and to provide us with this direct information, that is what it is, information, not marketing. That is appreciated certainly by me.

In support of your business, I will be at Moore Park Range tomorrow night to try some of the clubs, I am on the lookout for at least a driver.

regards,

ATGTT

PhantomX, Socks,

Thank you.

Brad…

The problem I have with clones is they try to sell based on looking like something else.

The other companies I refered to all have original designs, not something that is made to look like something else.

I acknowledge that there is a market for those sort of clubs, I have played a steelhead clone in the past, but I would prefer to deal with companies that have their own designs. If you head in that direction I would definately look to support you and your company.

Either way having someone with your insight into the industry on this board can only be a bonus, so welcome on board.

down and out…did ya get that?

How many pro’s play Lind clubs on the US PGA Tour?

i think thats the point that lind is trying to make if lind golf sponsors players do you think that their titanium driver will still retail at $199

I don’t think so!

The harder I practice the luckier I get. Gary Player.

Time to change!
