I’m considering tagging out my old nike slingshots for a set of fitted Wishon 560MC’s. Has anyone given these irons a shot? It’s bloody hard to chase down information/reviews on component clubs.

I do. Love them. Shafted with Aerotech steelfibers .

I know, I was going to get you to make them for me! This is Rob, I was around last week. For some reason my forum name was changed a few months back. Trying to decide between these or just getting my fitting specifications done once I get my new touched up swing under control and going with the “custom fit” Mizuno MP-57’s through Ebay. I’m keen to try those Aerotech shafts though!

Tendril, I had a set for 2 years and they are a very nice club, I had wishon steel series 5 shafts that were a really good match, upgraded to MP60s but both were fitted.

My apologies tendril Its the 550 c’s that I was referring to.

The 560’s are the forged cavity – comparable to the MP-57’s. The 550’s are the blades that compare with the Miz MP-60’s – I doubt I’ll be hitting blades for a long time, if ever. Cheers for the feedback though!

Just had the new Wishon 2008 wish list book turn up yesterday. Not had a chance to look closely at the newer heads but they look the usual smart Wishon efforts.

Played a full set of 560’s (3-AW) for a year now and wouldn’t even consider replacing them with any brand name offering. Have played the 550’s (3-5 in C & 6-PW in M) for 12mths previously too but the 560’s are on another level. Being somewhat of a club wh*re I’ve tried most designs with these being top of the pops for a balance of feel, consistency and damn good looks !! I shafted with a Wishon Series 5 Steel (mid S-XS flex, spine aligned and MOI matched) and grip with the Wishon SofWrap grips. All I can say is try ‘em ….. if you have them fitted properly they will be the last set you own for some time !!

Once I get my swing a little more consistant I’m going to head along to Guru and have a set fitted out, I had a look at one of his at a recent short game lesson and they felt great – just need to hit a few on the range and see how they compare. Cheers for that.

Tendril, If your looking at Wishon Heads have a look at the new wedge lines I have just got a 58* CX Micro in platinum and am wrapt the feel and look of the club, as good as any OEM wedge Ive used. have it shafted with a wishon High Fly Wedge shaft, and cant put it down. This company is making some seriously good components.

I’ll take a look but I’m still using Cleveland CG10 wedges that I’ve always loved. Going to be hard to take their place.

I was playing the 560MC’s and they’re good stuff. Very forgiving. I’ve just got the new 555C’s. I think it’s going to be a case of ‘love you long time’. As expected, less forgiving than the 560MC’s, but so pure out of the slot.

Hey Bencam, did you play at Glenmore a few years back ?

The 560MC’s are a heavily milled forged cavity – much closer to the MX-25’s.

Umm yes – a few years ago now. Why ?
