Anybody know if anyone other than Fox Sports is covering the British Open on TV for us poor shmucks who don’t have satellite?

Seven? Ten? Nine?

Ten had the US Open and the Masters on both their Standard Def and Hi Def channels so I guess there is a good chance they will broadcast the Open as well.

Ten is doing it.

It wll probably that you can get the early coverage on Fox and the Ten coverage will start a bit later. It usually works this way for BO.

Just rang TEN Perth. They tell me that it’s not in their guide, and it does not look like they will be showing it! HMMMMMMM channel 9?

Channel Nine. Got it. The response that they gave was it will be delayed and start at about 11:30 each night. Perhaps it’s only delayed into WA.

Don’t knock Kenny Sutcliffe!

I reckon for golf overseas its actually better to dealy the telcast to say start at 3 am to 8.30 pm in the morning…that way you can get up early and watch it….

I liked the US open times…got to see a lot of golf that way

whoever commenates will talk to much…I reckon moden commentators talk too much there are times when there doesnt need to be somone nattering on so long as you have the scores up

and while Im at why cant they have a watermark type leaderboard in the corner so at all times we can see who is leading….much like you get on the internet…

cant believe the baffoons who telecast golf dont think of that….I want to know whos winning at all times

Hopefully TIVO will be in store early…Set up the season pass and off we go. My current PVR is going to be replaced as soon as this baby arrives in store. Then I’ll watch it after work every night!

There is so much golf on Austar it is unbelievable. It is worth the $52 a month for the golf alone. especially when i cant get out and play much at the moment.

Currently I am relying on Austar and the xbox for my golf fix.

If its windy and the rough is long, then yes the Open is enjoyable to watch, especially if the scores are tight going into the final round.

Out of all the majors the Masters still tips it for me, although recent course changes there in an effort to stifle birdies on a Sunday have lessened the drama factor sadly.

As soon as the footy show finished the signal dropped out it came back and I got to see 10 mins then the rest is black… so much for technology :-(((

Here in Adelaide we had to wait for Nightline to finish, so it didn;t start until almost midnight. Geez, I love Foxtel IQ. I was able to watch 4 hours of coverage in 1 hour! Even at 6x, I didn’t miss a thing.

Oh, and it wasn’t Ken Sutcliffe.
