I’m going out on a bit of a limb and including the AT&T in the Tour schedule. It’s a fairly small field, but about half the squads already qualify and a few changes should bring that figure up. KJ Choi is the defending champ. Stricker, Perez, Furyk and Appleby were the runners up. Here’s the field… You must have your ISG Tipping entry in before the first tee time to be eligible for scores for this tournament. Cutoff time for new entries and changes to existing squads is Thu 10 PM (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Please post your entries here: Entries Full rules, comments and questions here: Main Competition Thread New entrants are always welcome. Unfortunately the Boz won’t be able to sponsor this event, but there are some noises about another high profile sponsor in the wings – watch this space. You must choose 4 players – with at least one Australian, one American and one from another country. The 4 players current World Golf Ranking points (see latest table here) must not total > 10.00… sadly this excludes Tiger and Lefty.

Can I leave my squad as it is (they are all qualified for The Open) and just change my alternate to give me 3 starters
The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish..... |

Yep.

AT & T National – First Round Update -5 Steve Marino The leaderboard isn’t exactly littered with big name players so far. This is only the second time Steve Marino has finished a round on top of a PGA leaderboard, although he’s in a respectable 50th on the FedEx standings coming into this event. Overton hasn’t had a top 10 this year, Lickliter hasn’t had one since 2006. Rod Pampling is probably the best credentialled of the leaders, with 2 PGA titles, and four top 10s this year. A few more familiar players are one shot back: Anthony Kim, Appleby, Allenby and Jacobson.

AT & T National – First Round Leaders A few of the heavy hitters on the ISG Tour are on top after the 1st Round. dougie is 3rd on the money list with $2.68 mil in earnings this year, and could certainly use a win here to challenge davego in the runup to the British Open. dougie has benefited from a useful choice of alternate, Rich Beem, who had a solid 71 to start. And Styles seems to be enjoying his new fatherhood, also posting a four under opening round. He’s 10th on the money list overall. dougie1: Appleby -3 J Parnevik -2 R Beem +1 S Verplank DNP J Leonard DNP = -4 AlexMc is 4th on the money list, and shares 3rd with MegaWatty, a recent entrant who missed the cut in his first event. His alternate (John Senden) is keeping him in the hunt for a big cheque to get him started. AlexMc: S Appleby -3 H Mahan -1 C Villegas +1 B Snedeker +2 = -3

AT & T National – First Round Leaderboard About half of the squads are DQs, although a few would have been right had they named an alternate. So that means everyone here except one will get a cheque this weekend. -4 dougie1 Styles

Right you are, I’ve checked the rest and they are right. Probably won’t make much difference to your result, Sonab… ;)

AT & T National – Second Round Update Scoring at the top was pretty hot, with Tom Pernice shooting a 63 to take a share of the lead: -9 Jeff Overton, Tom Pernice, Jr. The cut was drawn at +3, and some players bounced out in fine style. My man Bart Bryant shot 73 77, Goggin shot 73 76, Mike Weir posted 72 76.

AT & T National – Second Round Leaderboard Sonab has had his disqualification overturned, and managed to keep his composure throughout to post -3 through two rounds. But it’s the Styles show at the moment – seven strokes clear. He was the only to post red numbers for the second round. AndyHammers and Muntz both shot +27 to crash almost all the way down. -10 Styles

AT & T National – Third Round Update Scoring slowed down a bit, but it’s still 47 year old Tom Pernice who is heading the field. A few Aussies are in contention though, O’Hern T3 after shooting 70 65 67, and Allenby T9 after 68 89 67. Senden and Pampling are both T16. Hunter Mahan and Vaughn Taylor both shot 64s. -10 Pernice

AT & T National – Third Round Leaderboard Squad scoring picked up in the third round with lots of entries breaking par. Best results for the 3rd round: 63 AlexMc Those scores have lifted those four squads into the spots where the bigger cheques live, but it’s still Styles streeting the field by a big margin. -12 Styles

Thanks. I bet it’s not easy, but I (and many others) do appreciate your efforts! Maybe I shouldn’t have bothered as O’Hair missed the final day!

AT & T National – Final Update The cream finally rose to the top of the AT&T bucket, with familiar names dominating the leaderboard by the end of Sunday. Anthony Kim shot 65 to finish 2 shots clear and take his second PGA event for the season. He had good solid numbers across the board – 306 yards driving, 75% GIR and 1.72 putts per GIR. Jacobson and Pampling also finished with 65s to finish 2 and T3. Allenby and O’Hern also finished T3 for the tournament after shooting 67 and 69. Tom Pernice shot 72 to fall out of contention after shooting an excellent 63 in the second round. -12 A Kim

AT & T National – Tournament Podium We’ve had some tough tournaments this season, with red numbers hard to come by. This weekend we have witnessed one of the all-time scoring blitzes by a squad from our UK getting-to-scratch golfer Styles. He had the winner and one of the T3 Aussies as well, as well as a pretty respectable score from his Septic as well. This year Styles has been Mister Consistency (no offence MrC) only missing one cut at the Masters. He hasn’t had a podium finish though, finishing 4th on a few occasions. This win will lift him from 10th on the money list to 6th (it’s a tough gig at the top.) Styles: Allenby -9 Kim -12 Trahan -5 Chopra DNP = -26 !! Sonab has had a tough season, enduring a long string of missed cuts before coming 19th at the Players and 9th at the Memorial. This cheque will bounce him up over 10 places, nice ! Sonab: Pampling -9 Holmes Ev Villegas -2 Z Johnson DNP = -11 One of the top squads finished third. AlexMc was ranked 4th coming into this event, but will move up a spot or two with another podium finish (he finished 2nd at the Masters, and 3rd at the US Open.) AlexMc: S Appleby +2 H Mahan -7 C Villegas -2 B Snedeker +4 = -7 Congratulations to these top squads. Unfortunately this wasn’t a sponsored event, but maybe the Admins may find something lying around the office to give away…?

Thanks muntz – unfortunately we literally have nothing here to giveaway unless someone wants an a copy of an Arnold Palmer book we have left over. As the biggest golf site in Australia you would think we would be sent things all the time but alas we don’t. However, we ‘re very close to securing a ball sponsor for the tipping so we’ll keep you posted. Muntz – we’ll let you know directly by email as soon as anything is confirmed.
