Discount Fees and Teetimes

Not sure if this has been spoken about before. But is it just me or is there an extreme lack of WA courses on both these sections of the site. In the forums there seems to be a large amount of WA golfers here so it seems strange that the clubs don’t wake up and do something for the WA golfing community ??? I know for sure the group i normally play with would use the Teetime booking and well we would be stupid if we didn’t use the discount section as well.

golf in Perth is cheap as it is, there’s no reason why courses at the lower to mid level need to discount.

I hear venues are being approached out here so its just a matter of time before they put a toe on the new wagon. Sooner the better for us WAers.

Hi Easyazz – Obviously we’d love to have every club in WA to sell you but that’s not happening at the moment. WA courses have been approached in the same numbers that they were in all the other states. We’re very close to getting several on the teetimes but it does take time with any new concepts and the clubs must run the appropriate software in their proshops. We’ll be phasing out vouchers as teetimes courses come on board. FYI sadly we don’t have any courses in VIC, ACT, NT, TAS or SA (only one) either so we’re not picking on WA :)

Dont get me wrong I wasn’t trying to suggest its because of a lack of effort from iseekgolf. It’s just another classic example of the sleepy businesses in WA. Faldos_lovechild its more the booking tee times i’m interested in not the discounts, however discounts are always welcome :)

Whats so hard about picking up the phone and ringing the club to book tee times…why does everyone want to do it online?

Cause ya can. Gives you an idea of what tee times are available, how many places at that time, payment is made direct and generally at a discounted rate. Yeah you could probably get all this over the phone, just makes it a one stop shop. Especially if you are booking outside your own area or in another state for a round whilst on hols.
The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish..... |

Convenience would do it for me as well. Discounts would be a bonus. What’s so hard about ring a club and making a booking. Can’t do it after hours for a start. And sometimes you can’t get through early in the mornings because everyone is trying to at the same time. Surely it has got to be easier for the club and the pro to get people booking on line. Hey Jarrod07au… do you still ring and book your flights over the phone…..

the other thing to note is that currently nearly all the public courses (not the Vines, Joondalup etc) work on a first come, first served basis for weekdays so online booking isn’t required.

Some really good points there guys…. I guess everyone has to be running good real time technology… So for example if I ring a club and book, they put my name down on the system, which crosses out that time slot while your looking at it online? Would this be right?

the one I am familiar with does that, means the tee sheet is electronic but still allows in person or phone bookings

I work in the web industry so i try to promote doing anything possible online :) but another benefit of booking online is you can quickly compare multiple courses to get the time you want/need. Normally my mates can only fit in a quick round on a saturday afternoon and i’m over having to ring multiple courses to see whats available. Online i can see them all in a couple of clicks.
