I recently bought a pair oif Nike Shoes ($110) and after 2 rounds one of them is very uncomfortable, to the point where I cant wear them anymore. Does anyone know the policy in this situation? I’m getting tired of buying products these days only to have them break or not work properly, so am thinking about writing direct to Nike. Any thoughts?

If the shop gives you no love then a letter would be a good place to start.

which Nike shoes were they mate? Uncomfortable how?
|

They dont have a name as such but look much the same as this link. I got them for $110 but the price on the box is $139.99… www.nike.com/nikegolf/index... – Air Max Revive I’ll probably sound like a freak now but its only one that hurts. The left one digs into my big toe but the right one is fine. I’ve never had a pair of shoes that ‘fit like glove’ though and my feet always feel battered after a game. I still have the receipt…

Go to a shoe place that knows what they’re doing and get inners that suit your feet. My feet need high arch supports because I tend to walk on the inside of my souls, slightly flat footed I suppose. Take the original liners out and put the new ones in. Best $30 I ever spent.

hmmm, strange, is one of your feet bigger than the other? all i can say is ring or go back to the place where u got the shoes and see if they can organise something for you. goodluck =) Cheers,

The only limit is the number of clubs. The 64 is fantastic for hitting high hard lobs at the green from around 60m and I don’t have to open a sandwedge I can hit it straight on. Much more consistent.

Cliff, Cheers, Tai
You are kidding yourself if you think you can make it without hard-work. |
|
Cliff is pretty handy with the sticks Tai. 240m 3 irons, 300m 19* hybrids, 300+ drives.

240m 3iron…must be a world record player…

Look I used to work in Sports retail and I got sent to some courses that focussed on what feet do while walking and in sport…like pronation and pressure points and so on….athletes foot workers do a similar course..I didnt work or endorse athletes foot by the way But atleast they do it proffessionally I could look at someones foot and go yep your an asics person or nike would be ok too…or youre a brookes or new balance foot with golf retailers I can gurantee none of them have had any training in what type of feet people have and the way they walk best thing you can do is get an old pair of runners and see the wear points on the sole, this will tell you a lot about what shoe is best I walk slightly pigeon toed and I pronate slightly also…adidas 360 suit me…..footjoys seem pointy so if you toes are broad stay away shoe width is vital also dont go by the old “hey they will stretch” scenerio…..leather shoes dont actually stretch that much in width….its a myth….if they feel uncomfortable in the shop they will feel painfull later on slightly firm is ok…tight isnt?... Most times I have bought golf shoes I have usually schooled the slaes person :-) Im staggered people just buy shoes after trying them on for 3 or 4 minutes…do your research people, heaps of info on the net also golf shoes need a bit of time to be worked in….wear them in the office or on carpet or driving the car for a few days…. if you rip them out of the box and go play 18 holes straight away youre asking for trouble…yeah some with harder feet can do it but most times its a bad move ok foot depth is another thing….golf shoes are what I call “shallow shoes”....the heel cup isnt very deep so they must fit right otherwise you get that dreaded slipping…hello any golf shoe makers reading they need to be deeper…stop making them look like Ben Hogans shoes FFS shoes too big will will slip and cause blistering also anyways I could go on but I wont
so John (Daly) how did you make a 14?....well i missed the putt ior a 13 dickhead |

Nice Dave! I’m looking for a new pair and your info made alot of sense! Eek
|
|
Dave thanks for the advice, when you say look at your old pair of runners would look at the ball or the heel wear to determine the tendency to pronate or supinate?
Kumbaya! I have gravity poisoning! |

The only thing I can say is buy a pair of Footjoys next time! I have had 3 pairs of nike’s which I thought were comfy (older saddle type) and then I switched to the bottom rund Foot joy eComforts and they were by far the best ever shoe. I also have a pair of FJ Golf Athletics which are now my regular comp day shoes and the eComforts for practice rounds and driving range. You can get FJ’s fairly cheap online but I always get them thru my pro who gets me a good deal.
who needs driver when a 3 wood will do??? |

My two cents, try out the oakley range. I bought a pair bc they were a super price, and am stoked with them. they’‘re a really really wide shoe too, if that helps

I agree with Sidman. Footjoy are definitely the most comfortable shoes. The Athletics are fantastic for a reasonable price
|

ECCO, there are no compromises, and you can fin them discounted if you look around.
Say no more, would you believe I come second to that thing! |
|
Last pair of FJs I owned lasted me two years. And even though they were comfortable they weren’t as comfortable as my Adidas. It’s like Motorcycle Helmets, some brands fit better than others to different heads….

Cut your toenails

Most right handed people have a larger left foot than right so it’s not uncommon to find your left shoe tighter.

Problem I have is finding golf shoes that are wide enough. End up two sizes larger to fit width. Only ones that I can find that make a wide enough fitting are “Dexter” and they are getting hard to find.

a strange phenomenon indeed, if this’s true !
If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ? |
|
Anyone tried the Puma range of shoes?..........Tried a pair on & they same very light, any good as golf shoes though?
|

as i said before mate, check out the oakleys. i used to play baseball and basketball as youngster and as a result i have busted up feet, because i always needed a really close fit. now i have trouble finding comfort. i bought my oakleys, took em out of the box and played 18 holes in the arvo (when my feet were swollen after wearing thongs all day) and they were bliss. very wide, very comfortable aqnd they look good too.
