Scotty Cameron Collecting

So today I got my new SC Studio Design Newport 2 (after the debacle about getting that fake one off eBay the other week it is a great relief)...the only thing is now I have 3 Scotty Camerons and I think I am getting addicted to collecting putters (I bought all 3 within the last week and a half). I have a Pro Platinum and the SS Newport 2 which are both gamers but I also have a stunning restored Studio Design 1.5 which is the start of my ‘collection’ and a 2007 Masters headcover…has anyone else got the Scotty Cameron bug? – anyone else collect headcovers and/or putters? Where will it end?

Chances are it will end in bankruptcy or the dissolution of any current relationship you may be in. From my understanding, those SC putters ain’t cheap!

10+ putters! Sounds like someone has a fetish (specially the way you talk about those head covers!).

Lol, no I forbid myself from trying new putters as I can’t afford to buy them :-(. I made the mistake of hitting an Odyssey 2-ball once and was gunning for one for ages afterwards. I’ll stick with my Cally ‘Bobby Jones’ heel\toe putter (without headcover I may add!) for now. Cost me $60 odd second hand on ebay and I’ve sunk my fair share of ripper putts with it.

does anyone know the best web site to buy scotty cameron putters… as in cheapest price and delivery from reputable dealer? cheers
I am on another forum (won’t publish the link but they are cameron collectors) and there are guys on there that have all the headcovers and heaps of putters (by the looks of some collections a hundred putters would not be an overstatement)...some of these putters are upwards of $3000

Not really cheap….but look at eBay but make sure that it is not a fake…they are actually easy to tell (especially after I got stung)

$299 from Edwin Watts seems to be the best i’ve found… does that sound about right?
yes that is right $299 (plus tax) US…tax is about 6.5% foreach state…..but have a look at ebay Australia because the Scotties are actually going for a little less than they should…just be sure they are real.

10 putters hey! In all seriousness though, the S.C.’s are a great putter and wouldnn;t mind a Newport 2.5 myself if anyone has one goiig cheap! Weight and design are second to none. BTW… who the f…k is Scotty Cameron in the real world (r.e. golf world..is there any other..)
Most of those putters would be on display along with the fancy headcovers…it seems to be an expensive exercise though.

Thanks live4golf.

wait till you have 10 of them, and they are all tour putters, and the cheapest one in your collection is worth about US$2500.
Impressive collection.

These are 5 of mine with a particular stamping. I traded two today, a 009, and a Circa III for a Tour Use Studio Select Double Bend Fastback with a bulldog stamp and some cash, so now I have 9 Tour putters, and two regular “off the rack” putters which I’ll be moving on in the next week or so.
Terry, nice collection…I do like the stamping.

No offence guys, but aren’t all these putters just over priced copies of Ping putters?
Nice to see some cameron crazes here. I too have got the bug it is no stopping now. I’ve got 3 camerons already and the Studio Select is on its way :).
kar, for the studio select? – which model?
