The fortnight holiday most of the top players took after the Player’s Championship is over (yeah, baby) and so the ISG Tour heads off to Columbus Ohio. Are you as excited as I am to have the Tipping live again this weekend? OK, yes, I will get a life sometime soon. The good news is that all but two squads have got three or more live players already. And can everyone give a warm welcome to newbie tipster AndyHammers - he’s gone for O’Hern, Boo, Weir and Chad. davego, our Money List leader, has the difficult decision this weekend whether to drop Leonard or Jimenez, or keep his squad intact for the US Open in two weeks time. Dowls is middle of the pack moneywise so probably needs to field a squad for every event – Shigeki or Funk will have to go. Luckily he has 1.30 points up his sleeve.

KJ Choi is the defending champ. Ryan Moore, Kenny Perry, Rod Pampling (!!) and Frederick Jacobsen were runners-up. Here’s the field… You must have your ISG Tipping entry in before the first tee time to be eligible for scores for this tournament. Cutoff time for new entries and changes to existing squads is Thu 10 PM (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Please post your entries here: Entries Full rules, comments and questions here: Main Competition Thread New entrants are always welcome, weekly winners receive Vision prize packs thanks to the Boz. You must choose 4 players – with at least one Australian, one American and one from another country. The 4 players current World Golf Ranking points (see latest table here) must not total > 10.00… sadly this excludes Tiger and Lefty.

Mathew Goggin took only nine putts over his final nine holes on his way to a 7-under 65 and a one-shot lead over Jerry Kelly and two-time Memorial champion Kenny Perry. Goggin holed out a bunker shot for birdie on the par-3 fourth, then ended his round with a 12-footer for par from off the green, giving him only 22 putts for his round.

Thanks mate, I swapped Villegas for Petterson – which was my change… I’ve got to stop doing the spreadsheet when I’m tired ;)

I give you full permission to make those type of errors on my part of the spreadsheet. I promise to offer nothing but praise!!

Hey, this is golf – you have to call penalties on yourself. BTW, I’m going to be in transit this morning so there won’t be a second round leaderboard until tomorrow…

2nd Round Update Scoring looks to be a lot tougher today, and the cut is around +4 at the moment. A few squads have been going backwards fast: Snedeker and Flesch are at +9, Howell +8, Glover +7, Baddeley +6. Best players so far: Mathew Goggin -8

with tough scoring again it might be another event where missing the cut is a bonus!

I’ve been watching it a bit….how about the greens? I have not seen a putt over 2 metres made yet. TOUGH STUFF

...only if scoring on Sat / Sun is tougher than Thu / Fri. And golfers who make the cut are generally playing pretty good. The current cut has gone out to +6 !!

Round 2 Update One last update before I head off for my mother-in-law’s birthday party… Goggin had 7 birdies (!!) and dropped 7 shots too to hang on to his starting score with a 72. O’Hern, Ogilvy and Pampling are still in the hunt. -7 Goggin Perry

Progress Scores I’ve applied a cut-line of +6 to the current scores… Unfortunately Lintz, Bubba crashed out with a horror round of 84 – 1 double bogey and 5 bogeys and 1 birdie. That leaves heybrew on top again – and still in the box seat for back to back Tour wins. chris81 (68), MrC (70) and barryl (71) are the big movers up the leaderboard. Sidman had the worst round of the day, 98. Sure you want to hang on to Jason Day? (He shot 82). heybrew Appleby Ev Perry -7 Garcia +3 Pettersson -1 = -8 -8 heybrew

The haflway leaderboard will change big time after Appleby blew out to 4 over. My money is on Adlo.

How exciting. I am hoping to go one better from the 4th placing at the last event and end up on the podium.
