Thoughts on white pants for golf?

Well the name says it all. What does everyone think? I think there are many players out there pulling the look off very well and some no so well (Ian Poulter comes to mind).

I have a pair and have only worn them twice, but I am starting to see the look filter down from the pro’s and seeing them more during a normal round.

That said, they are still near impossible to get in any golf shop I have seen, I had to get mine ordered in specially.

Beats boring navy and beige chino’s anyway.

I don’t care what others do, but fror me white pants= cannot. they look ridiculous on me lol!

Black only for me personally, I imagine white would look filthy after a round.

I have a pair of off white pants. I think I pull it off quite well ;-) I dunno about a bright white though. I don’t wear them that often because I prefer to golf in shorts but you do sometimes get mud on them from when you take a divot in rainy conditions.

I think you’ll find that traditionally lawn bowlers wear creams if I’m not mistaken

all the kids over here in the UK are wearing them.

Can’t believe the original poster reckons Poults can’t pull them off – IMO he is the best dressed golfer out there!

I like the William Hunt gear but you have to be skinny as hell to pull off the white strides.

Also, if you’re going to put that gear on, you better make sure you’ve got game!

I just think hes a bit too out there. As I reach my late 20’s, if I have to choose between fashion and style, I err on the side of style more often than not. Poulter is definitely fashion. I even read he has started his own golf label now, and good on him I guess, just not quite my cup of tea.

If I ever start looking like Craig Parry, then I’ll tone it down to boring beiges and oversized polo’s, but while I’m still tall and thin and young (ish) i’d rather look good while doing what I enjoy.

If one had too choose a best dressed pro for me, it would be between Camillo Villegas and Johan Edfors.

Gotta be good to wear white pants or a pink shirt.

White pants are great, but I won’t wear for golf them ONLY because they would get absolutely filthy.

I think it all looks class – wish my arse was small enough to fit into them lol!

No white pants & not overly keen on white shirts either.Tend to show too much dirt & I tend to get a little grubby on the golf course.

A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all. :(

Just had a look at poulters website, it’s a bit girly really, too much pink and 70’s checks/plaids going on I think.

And had a look on one of the webshops you can buy it from. 85 pounds for the pants! Jeezuz! I mean come on, there not Zegna or anything.

I give him points for being different and for doing something he loves (other than golf) though.

KIWI: LMAO classic.

hes definately in touch with his feminine side.

friend of mine wore white pants, but he had a little accident while trying to monster a drive.. thought it was just audio issue .. but no.. there was visible follow through – he played the full 18 out and copped some great heckling from his playing partners

That has got to be the best reason not to wear white…...love it.

yeh i got em today. Had a bit of a hit with them. They are definately harder to hit than my macs were, but the feel is great. Im hitting the shorter irons pretty good. I think after a few weeks they will be great. I must admit, im swinging it terrible ATM. Getting everything off the toe. Killing me.

A mate tried white pants matched with a gay mauve open-necked shirt, unfortunately he had open-necked pants.

The MP32s are here. Test awaits…..

Yea thats the best part about blades IMO is that you have to be spot on with your swing. Makes flushing them feel soo much better.
