He is Greg Ritchie, a former Qld Cricket player. Nicknamed Fat Cat.

he was ma-hat-ma-coat on the nrl footy show a few years back. hes also engaged to rachael hetherington

I googled him and he looks like he had a nice cricket career and seems a top bloke – but how on earth did he become a golf commentator, did he do an Ivan Lendl and try out pro golf for a bit and fail or does he just have some conections.

He’s a goose. I have a recollection of him running onto a ground pissed at the end of a test match and making a fool of himself, and that was when he had retired and was just a spectator.

He was though the subject of one of the funniest signs i ever saw at the cricket. It was on a full bed sheet and it read “Greg ritchie looks like virgil from the thunderbirds”

And you know what…he does too.

he also use to be on radio in the morning here in brisbane a wail ago for triple m but he got the flick i never thought he was funny as ma-hat-ma-coat but thats just me.

I was sure it was his voice but couldn’t think of why he would be on tv commentating golf. Maybe he’s a mate of Ogle’s? :)

Actually Greg Ritchie is the partner of Rachel Hetherington, the Autralian pro golfer, and lives with her in the United States. But you’re right, he’s ordinary as a commentator.

he’s not a commentators a—hole. he got punted from the footy show for saying something stupid. he’ll get punted from this job too. ogle sounds like he has the shites with him every time he opens his mouth. the kiwi upstaged him. get rid of him.
