With my Mrs. I just ask the question.
golf course or intercourse?
I play a lot of golf;-))

She usually plays with me. We also have some non-golf related fun whilst golfing from time to time.

Hole in one…........ :)

I have a pretty good deal with my partner that allows me to play nearly every 2nd weekend as long as what I spend on golf she gets to spend on scrapbooking. Would like more course time but I’m hardly at home as it is with work commitments.

Guru has a similar arrangement apparently but trying to argue that a new desk and chair for my partners room doesn’t equate to some new clubs …..

I’ld like my partner to play golf but she isn’t too keen on the idea. When our little one is old enough I plan on taking her out but for the time being I like our arrangement.

Cheers,

Mick

Whats the par on this hole???

My wife has just taken up the game. She is very slowly improving but she is not someone who naturally has the right temprement for this game. I’m just hoping she stick with it long enough to get to a level she’s happy with. I look forward to the day we can both go out and enjoy a round together.

My balls glow in the dark!!!

I don’t remember the par, the the play time was about 15 minutes.

I’m guessing it’s a course where slow play is encouraged???

Well maintained too. The trimming and upkeep is second to none.

I’m trying to get my mrs to play she’d hit the ball a mile. I reckon she’d wrap the club around my head as well. We could even have non-related golf fun as well…...........they way I go we still would’nt get done for slow play;)

is everyone allowed to play at least once a week?

My mrs likes to sleep in on the weekend so by the time I’ve finished my rounds (yes rounds….Sat and Sun every week) she’s just getting out of bed or has only moved to the couch. She’s the best :)

I might try manu99 line during the week :)

My wife almost throws me out of the house, but I only play once a month. She’s just enrolled for a 4 week beginner course, so we may start playing together.

I work shift work. 2 days 2 nights then 4 days off, so i get plenty of time off during the week to play when she’s at work. Courses are a lot more quiet too.

Only problem is my wifes pregnant and due in July, then she’s going to take 9mth off work. I told her i want to play at least once a week still? Time will tell lol

Being a beginner (6mths or so) i need all the practice i can get.

Yeh I play once a week every sunday and the mrs has no problems with it.

Im in the same boat as hacktheplanet – my mrs is due in July as well…so im yet to see if i can keep up my weekly round

Trying to break 100!

Take her out with you, take your time, and enjoy it. If she doesn’t keep score or doesn’t hit the best, don’t worry about it. If she is enjoying it, that is all you should be concerned about.

With a wife and 18 mth old child (plus another due in a few weeks) i am still managing to get out once a week on the weekends. Thats all i ask for the rest of my time is pretty much family. Apart from watching the footy. Not bad i reckon.

My Avatar is my girlfriend.

I’ve got a daughter under 2 and my playing has dropped from every weekend to one weekend in 2 or 3. I am trying to have a hit midweek but its tough. Ah well. Love being a Dad.

Enjoy it while you can fellas. Wait until you have 2-3 kids and they start playing sport. Weekends are shot. Up at 6 for the young fellas football, girls netball at 10, the eldest plays softball at 11, so either two cars or she gets a lift and you head over later. (Can’t miss any of the games otherwise, you like her/him better) This is just winter, summer is swimming, little athletics, cricket, T-Ball/Softball (again)

You suddenly realise you’re paying a good deal of $$$’s to belong to a golf club which you get to play at maybe every month if your lucky. Sunday is left as the only day to do the things that need to be done around the house (and doesn’t the missus remind you of that) mortgage and everything esle goes up and $$$’s hared to find, something has to go. Missus – “you don’t play golf that much anymore, so we can save some money there.”

End result, golf membership goes down the drain, you end up playing social golf with some mates about once every three months, you lose everything that you thought was a swing. Fifteen years later and you try to get back into a golf club, but budget limitations are still there, oops , look out the grand kids have started to arrive, and when do they come over for a visit Yup weekends when you turn into the ‘babysitter’.

Can’t grumble . luv me kids and the little G.C’s.

Retirement isn’t that far off and then ITS MY TURN.

The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish.....

I took her to Riverside Oaks the other day when I played with my dad and his friend. She enjoyed it so much, keeping score and such, she then enrolled in the course. Had to put it on hold because her belly is growing daily. She’s due early Sept. :)
