Name a Hole on a Course In Your State?

With the plans for a National Amatuer/Pro Long Drive League steadily progressing, we would like you to name a golf course in your home state that you think has the perfect hole on which to conduct a National Long Drive Tour event?

State?
Course?
Specific Hole?
Special Features of that hole?

The hole you list can be bunkered, have water hazards and present its own special challenges for a Tee shot. The only requirement is that it is relatively straight and atleast 400 metres long.

If you can post an image or link to the specific hole’s layout that would also be much appreciated

If you are a member at this specific course or have strong connections to make an event here possible please also let us know.

Feel it, execute it, live with it.

3rd at Wyong, NSW Central Coast…460ish par 5 fairly straight bit of a tight fairway

16th Wyong, 470ish par 5 also, slight dog leg left…marginal…little wider than the 3rd

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

18 th at wodonga vic, 550 m par five with reds all the way down the right and a dogleg at about 390-400 also 5th at wodonga 410 m par 4 with O.B left all the way but pretty straight.

2 things matter in golf, where the ball is and where it has to go
everything else is irrelevant

18th Robina Woods.

504m Par 5. Personally one of the best finishing holes I have played.

15 at Belmont

Runs south along the Beach, usually playing into the teeth 401m with sand and saltbush all down the left, and sand and scrub all down the right. Magnificent views of the ocean to boot.

5th at Gawler Golf Club in SA,
464m scrub down the right and hazard to the left straight then a little dog leg left about 400m out with water straight ahead.

or the 9th at Gawler 445m slightly up hill till the top then dog leg left down the hill.

Pity I cant get a pic of it getting better. The 5th looks like a solid layout!

Thanks for suggestion

Victoria
The Sands

Oooh love a challenge! Good suggestion Jan Juc! Maybe have to put amateurs off a different tee? Looking up on google earth now!

The nnext forward markers only have about 100 metres fo fly the ‘swamp’.

Cool that would work! Have the amateur comp from there and the pro shootout from the back markers.

Cheers
