does anybody know if any of the high quality golf courses have memberships available at the moment. 1) When I mean membership I mean mens 7 day 2) When I say quality I refer to The Lakes, NSW, Royal Sydney, The Aussie, Concord, Avondale etc 3) If so, do you need a million members to propose and second?

Firstly, I assume you’re only looking at private clubs.

Not sure about the others but Royal Sydney, NSW and the Australian have long waiting lists.

All the ones you listed will require around 6-7 members to support your application, some (not RSGC and maybe others) may waive this if you are on a 1-2 handicap and will play pennants.

Membershup at The Lakes is currently open but requires 2 nominators and about 3 referees, The Lakes is significantly more expenive to join (30k+) than the other courses you mentioned.

Waiting lists for NSW, The Aussie and RSGC are 5-10 years.
St Michaels may be a good option for. It’s a terrific course (top 50 nationally) right next to NSW and they were recently advertising membership – joining fee approx $6600.
