Which Course Gets the Better Of You

Guys, we have a thread which asks “which is the toughest course you have played” what I am wondering is which course always gets the better of you and you keep struggling when you play it. Mine is Gisborne. Great course and absolutely love it, but every time i have a round there, I seem to crumble and my game goes to crap. Which course does this to you? Pete

Brookwater.
Watch out typos + poor grammar. |

Any course at the moment ….... :-(

Not a course just one hole, down hill right curving par 5 which I would blow up on every time. Then late one weekday I decided to play it again and whilst walking back up I realised that it is was not as long as I thought and driver then fairway wood was stupid, srtaed to use fairway wood tee shot, then a mid iron and a wedge. Pity it took me so long to see it.

My home course (Wgong)....it tends to get the best of me more than I get of it esp: v my HCP

Newcastle at Fern Bay… A brutal layout…but well worth the punishment. I rate it as one of our best courses in Australia, even if I loose all my balls from my bag each round!

Im a member of newcastle gc and it is a tough track. if you can shoot your handicap around there you know you are playing well. agree with scrotum that it is one of the best layouts in aust.

must say. I love Newcastle. They have these “black tees” which are just awesome. Need to be on your game there and it certainly is a course to play if you not done it. I also find The Dunes gets me all the time, especially that F..king little 17th.

The Dunes 17th? 4 iron center of green. Piece of Piss really.
