I was wondering how long a normal golf glove lasts for. My latest glove lasted for only 2 1/2 months, playing 3 times a week. I wore out the entire thumb section

and you’re complaining! I’ve been known to ruin one in 9 holes :(

I have had the same problem, especially with the Callaway Gloves. They have been lucky to last a month so I sent a couple explaining how many games they took to fall apart and asking WTF (in a more polite manner) and had no response. I suppose gloves are not a big money earner as I have heard that their after sales service with clubs is great.

I use Titleist Players. They really are the dogs knackers. Pity I wear them out so quick!

I use Footjoy gloves. I know there shows are great but have found their gloves fall short. At $30 a pop, its an expensive habit if you have to replace them all the time. A round of golf can turn expensive if you: Kill your glove and put a couple of $8 balls into the drink. I heard the mizuno gloves are the way to go and last for ages. For the most part if you are wearing gloves in a particular spot, try to buy your next glove with extra protection in that area, or change your grip. Even if green fees were a gold coin donation, golf an expensive habit.

Mizuno Tec Flex are great gloves. Lately I have been using a Titleist though… Generally I see if there are any on special and go with them.
down and out…did ya get that? |
|
I agree with Toolish, that the Mizuno Tec Flex are great gloves. They last for ages and preform as well as the more expensive gloves. They still wear , but I can get 20+ rounds before it gets to worn. They handle sweat well and stay in shape. There not to hard on the pocket as well.
Don't talk about it, do it , Life is to short. |

I bought a Callaway Tour series glove. It lasted one small bucket of balls on the range and only 9 holes on the course. :( The glove tore on the palm. I have slightly moved my grip down a little, since than.. I sent the shop i bought it from an email and was promptly sent a new one to replace. I’ll see how this new one goes
Any advice will be happily accepted, until all forgotten on course. |

I’ve had a black FootJoy glove for about 6-8 rounds now (and I loooove them, their XXL fits great), I honestly don’t understand how you guys can destroy them so quickly, unless you’re using really rough corded grips or something? I do tend to grip the club a little tightly so perhaps that stops them wearing as much as people with a loose grip? Thoughts anyone? PS. Is cadet size simply kiddy size?

Yeah, I was holding the club too high… all fixed now, but the Callaway is very soft, lots of feel. I spoke to a golf shop salesman and about this, and from his entire range (all the well known brands) he told me the Mizuno is the best if your chasing a longer lasting glove. I’ll prob try one of them next. I also have a footjoy, def not as soft as the callaway, but it has lasted a while now, prob about 7 or 8 rounds.

The mizuno gloves are good but are a little thick for feel. They do last well though. I really like the ping gloves. They are synthetic and have great feel and last a long time. I just had a bridgetsone leather one and it wasnt bad, but eventually got holes in it. The leather ones are no good if you sweat alot, as they end up all crusty

I prefer the Callaway warbird (2 pack) have been using Footjoy and Mizuno Tech Flex but just find the warbirds stay tighter for longer and wear just as quickly as the others but get two for the price of one. Keep one golf for playing and a couple of older ones for the range. Find the range really takes it’s toll on the golve

I tried a Bionic glove last year…the wear was fine, the glove was expensive and the feel was poor. I use any soft leather glove that is on special at the time, I am using an R7 glove at the moment and it is great…had the choice I like Footjoy
A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work. |

I use Titleist, Footjoy or Srixon Tour. Can’t go wrong with any of these.
|
|
i have the srixon leather one at the moment has lasted about 4 mths and still got a bit to go…played around 2- 3 time a week, my last one adams titanium lasted 2 months.. the pro told me that you need to get the size/brand that is tightest as the wear occurs on the wrinkles??
nearly??!!! |
|
I got a heavy duty glove for the range, doesn’t have the feel but has lasted months. Use something better on the course but get longer life now that I’m not using them on the range.

I use Titleist player’s glove and it can last me around 4 rounds in hot and humid Singapore

I use the TaylorMade tour cabretta gloves. Found them to be sensational, albeit on the more expensive side (thank god for the internet) but can be prone to fading in the heat if your hands get to sweating quite a bit. My advice would be to run a few gloves at once & try to get them lasting longer.

Try playing a round of golf without a glove a fella’s.
You are kidding yourself if you think you can make it without hard-work. |
|
If your glove is wearing out in the same spot look at your grip not the glove My two cents worth - Titleist Players is softest and best feeling leather there is on the market, Footjoy Stasof not far behind in feel but i find it fits a little better for me FJ by far the best on the market and the best offering, here’s a snapshot

I buy a sinthetic precept glove, I buy them because they last a lot longer than the leather ones for me. I still have never owned a glove that has lasted longer than 2 months. I do play alot of golf though.
|
|
my modus operandi is no gloves anyway adverse effects are calluses
If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ? |
|
Try a Brosnan Rooglove…..Durability is great. Kangaroo skin is thiner, stronger and doesn’t sweat through like normal cabretta gloves. The fit is also as good as any other glove on the market.
