so John (Daly) how did you make a 14?....well i missed the putt ior a 13 dickhead

Not attacked , but threatened by a large male kangaroo and a wayward eel in the hazard today…ha ha

yup those red roos are pretty intimidating at times
and the pesky magpies

always wary of snakes lurking in the shrubs, bushes…..and long grass

Charged by a moose up in northern Minnesota. Very dangerous animals.

Swarms of Mosquitoes. We were playing in Lower SE QLD right after some flooding and there were ALOT of mosquitoes.

Aeroguard did nothing [unless one of the guys replaced mine with sugar water]

We gave up near the end because it was near impossible to swing/putt/ walk with out getting feasted upon!

Eek!

Nesting plovers, been dive bombed more than a few times at my course.

The mongrels have spurs on the edge of their wings and I’ve seen an old guy with a 3cm gash in his melon when one got him.

I,ll go with the Plovers too They have to be some of the dumbest birds around, will nest anywhere there is a bit of grass. very difficult to concentrate when being strafed by 2 irate parent birds.

A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all. :(

1. A couple of years ago (in Florida) my caddy was searching for my waywood drive and an Alligator took a snap at him.

2. I also remember playing at Bribie Island golf course (Qld) many moons ago and went to move a stick and it was actually a snake.

3. Komodo Dragons in some parts of Asia are also a good idea to stay away from.

Played in Malaysia a few times
and inadvertantly stepped onto a RED ants nest
these are extremely vicious critters
armed with bang ‘fangs’ and ready to chump into your flesh
and ouch do they hurt like hell
and it’s teeming with millions of them in the nest (on the ground)

Got stung by a wasp yesterday on the ear lobe!!! Was looking for my ball under a tree.

The tree can keep my ball now!!

Now I look like the elephant man :(

No animal is more ferocious than my missus when i get home from the club pissed

been attacked by plovers countless times, magpies also, although they don’t seem to attack anymore.
been playing up at NT and walked into an ants nest under a tree to play my ball, those little pricks are the most ferocious things on the face of this earth, it took no more than 5 sec to be covered from head to toe.
also had a roo growl at me like a dog up at headland on the coast one day. also had to wait for two roo’s to stop shagging on the tee at bribie one time. you won’t see anything funnier than a female jumping across a fairway with 8 big males chasing her.
i wouldn’t go near a koala for the life of me either, their just evil little bastards.

i played bintan logoon ten years ago and had a cobra stick his head up and snarl.had to change my undies that day

i also played the little 9 holer at south molle island
put a shot into the woods went after the ball
and come across a kurlew “local native bird”“nesting
lets just say the undies coped another spray that day.
i had to back out real quick

We have curlews as well but they don,t pose much of a problem unless you hit a ball in thier nest. At least they tend to nest in the scrub & not on open ground like the plovers. Used to have some domestic geese on the course, they can get quite nasty if you upset them . Saw a young pro playing in the pro-am try to shoo one away by pushing his bag & buggy at it, spent the next 100m to the green trying to get the goose off his bag. Won,t do that again.

Plovers are a problem when nesting, avoid eye contact and you shouldn’t have any worries

No matter how bad your game it is always possible to get better or worse

I was under the impression that Komodo Dragons were only found on the Indonesian island of Komodo.

Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by
the occasional miracle.

Komodo Dragons are nothing more than a Large Goanna or monitor Lizard !

I would advise exactky the opposite. Take your eyes off nesting plovers & you are liable to end up with a nice gash on your head, the only way to stop plovers from attacking you is to stay well away from thier nest, which can be somewhat difficult on the golf course.

Big male Roos are a problem in the breeding season. They stand up and will not move for you. had to let many balls go in fear of them.
On one particular hole a Wattle bird seems to take a dislike to me he comes at me like an exocet misile, only avoiding contact when I fall over screaming.
Some small Geese come at me hissing and snapping, not scary though.
The big danger are the snakes have seen a couple, never been too close, but very reluctant to search for balls deep in the bush
