Arrived at Royal Pines at midday Thursday to watch the Ladies Masters only to be advised that the day’s play had been cancelled due to very heavy rain . Fair enough,but why no mention on either the Tournament website or Touhey & Assoc site or Qld events site by Thursday morning,despite the decision being made on Wed night at 7.00 pm ?
My wife and I stayed overnight and returned by 9.00am after checking out of our room.
Very angry and disappointed to then learn that 95% of the top players had already completed at least 9 holes . They had Davies ,Garret & Shin tee off at 6:40am for some bizarre reason.Virtually all the top players had gone by 7.30 am.Maybe it was for Japanese T.V. or something equally compelling but it was useless from a spectators perspective..
Good luck finding a copy of the draw on the net btw.
On a brighter note, I did have the chance to check out Melissa Reid who plays as nicely as she looks.Most impressive was Sakura Yokomine who maybe weighs 48 kg but just hits the ball magnificently.If only I had 1/10th her talent.

That’s life! Try putting up with rain delays as a player and you will see a different side to tournament golf.

Seriously simonsez – It was pissing down on the Coast and had been all week. Think you should of used a bit of your own common sense.

PS – For the record I saw note about the tourney being cancelled on ISG.

Totally agree that the info should have been on the tournament website though and that is was bizarre to send the top players out so early
