The first at growling frog is a beauty and 18 is also great….great bunkering agree..makes it tough if the wind is up. Basically the wasnt a hole I didnt like Werribee was the worst course I played…its in poor nick..no rain makes it hard though so its not thier fault The frog was an awesome track…funny how its in the middle of nowhere Sunshine was good too, needs some work but will be a great course in a short time At home I enjoy Capel, secret harbour mandurah GC and Collie

played all of them for 18 holes…played 27 holes at growling frog in one day when it was 33 degress..all the others were single days The sell off was that I was with the kids in the arvos while my wife caught up with her freinds…which I like anyways..took kids to air conditioned muesems and pools..and shopping malls.. I was teeiing off at 6.30-7am most days or 5pm..hired carts when I could also..it was an exspensive holiday but I had a ball, I had that 2008 course guide which had some discounts in it yeah heat was an issue but I lost some weight…first holiday that I have ever done that

I get over to WA every 6 weeks or so, havent played any in the Bunbury area, but will definately give capel a try next trip. (pity about werribee, when I was there I had to pay a levy to help pay for a new dam, pumping system and I think they even bought into the local market gardens watering system. it was supposed to make the course drought proof. sounds like it didnt work. great lay out. long holes, wide fairways good bunkers and big greens. what a shame) AJ

yeah it has the foundations of a very good track, Yeah all of the course that had an external water source where in great condition..Maffra being an example if youre in WA theres plenty of good courses here and while we have had dry weather too we still are getting some rain. The strip between mndurah and Bunbury is a great area for golf courses, get yourself that 08 course guide and youre set I was lucky as my wife recieved GPS navigator for her birthday so all I did was punch in the course address and away I went….so it took no time or stress trying to find course in foreign lands….the navigator even recognises golf courses. It was too easy. I had my whole 3 weeks of golf mapped out. Pity about the heat though…but it is summer…

yeah it was awesome…misus is pretty good about my golf…i dont smoke or drink hardly any beers…I spend heaps of time with kids besides golf and I even take my 2 1/2 year old in a pusher and carry my clubs for 9 holes and he loves it…he gets the flag out at each hole…and tees the ball up yeah it was a great trip…some mates and are organising a mini 4 day (8 games of golf 36 each day) in WA in April..about 9 of us going…going to hire a mini bus and pitch tents to keep it cheap..just cook barbies each night…will be a blast I enjoy this type of golf than boring saturday comps where no one smiles :( we will camp and play courses in Mandurah and Bunbury – margaret river area….

Hi Dave Doogs

yeah its a great track, the guy behind the counter was freindly and funny!! loved the par 3 ninth…it was advertised in this months golf digest the hilly part of the course is tough especially if its into the wind..one par 5 I played was up a hill and a stone fence either side at about 180m to 200 meters from the tee…that flatter part isnt so tough the first is a nice hole also like the course,,,will return…900 bucks is pretty cheap…you play twcce week say and thats $8.6 a round (avergae!)...cant complain about that can you!!
