Hole In One

I was lucky enough to get a Hole In One recently- is there a registry where I can be recognized for my Ace?.

Thanks

OZ Golf Digest used to have something in their magazine.

In WA, your club secretary should notify the WA Golf Association (WAGA) of the details, i.e. name, date, hole no and length.

It will then appear in the annual WA Year Book. You’ll also receive a certificate from the WAGA.

Congratulations on the ace, well done… and don’t down play it too much.(lucky enough)...after all, you were aiming for the hole weren’t you.

Want to share the details…distance etc?

If there's no golf in heaven, then I ain't going there.

That’s not a hook, it’s just a fade that didn’t come back.

I agree, it is the one thing we all secretly (or not) want to achieve with the game….congrats mate, well done.

Well done unhappy hooker on your Hole in one. To be actually recognized for a hole in one you need to have done it during an official comp day, you should be then credited on the club honor board for your achievement.

I see this forum is very closely edited – obviously you can’t mention other web sites – anyhow I found a Hole in one registry on google, not sure what the powers of I seek has to worry about – seems there is a fair bit of paranoia.

If its not in a comp, it doesn’t count.

Like getting a hole in one at putt putt or pitch and putt. Or Tiger Woods 200-whatever.

Please elaborate wbennett – does that mean I should penning this post wearing my long hose and cravat?

You did get an hole in one, but unless it was in an official comp it wont be recorded.

I reckon it is something you will carry with you till the day you die. And anytime a hole in one comes up you can relive the story! Too bad its not recorded though, at least you weren’t alone when it happened, good luck getting anyone to believe it then!

I see wbennett comment has been edited also – what’s the story I seek. are you really that precious??

We’ll remove what we want if it suits us. We edit one or two posts a week – that is hardly going overboard.

Let’s move along please…..if it gets mentioned again there’ll be a long walk off a short cliff for the poster. :)

Mmm

I saw a big fat book in Drummonds that was a register of holes in one in Australia.

Curious idea, only people who would want to buy it are those who are in the book I would have thought.

I’m waiting for the companion edition – “Eagles on opening par 5s whilst playing on one’s own…”

Oh, I’ve already got that one. Make me an offer and I’ll shoot it off in the post.

Hope there’s no nudity in your version muntz.

Anyhow, to answer the original question – there is an a Australian Hole in One Registry on line. Just google – Hole in one.

Unhappy, there are two Hole In One registry’s – one is the big thick book that muntz mentions and other is a free on line Registry both can googled.

I want to see unhappyhooker typing a post wearing his long hose and cravat. I say, sir !
