I saw spence practicing at MGA on sunday. Amazing how far he’s slipped since his masters win.

What happens to guys like Craig Spence, where they are reasonably successful, but not world beaters, then just fade away ?.There has been a number over the years. Is it the bit between their ears that causes the gremlins or do they lose their competitive edge ?, I know a couple of fringe pro’s who practice their but off, but can’t seem to make it, I feel so sorry for them as it must be very frustating for them.

It’s known as “attrition” ..common in professional sport, but it’s effective in that only the best survive.

Love to see Dartnell get a break…

Anyone know what type of “starts” it gives your boys down-under..

Just wondering what’s it all about….you guys have some secondary tour called “Von Nida” and does this get the players a start in that or something additional as well?

Sorry for sounding vague, but not being from Australian shores, we Americans are just wondering what your Q-School is about?

The Aussie Q school may not be the size of the USA Q school but you have to get it into perspective. Australia has produced some rather fine golfers and always will. To get a start in professional golf tournaments in Australia is minimal. The money is not there to start with so many of the boys do it tough for a while to make cash to go overseas like to the Asian Tour, European Challenge Tour, Japan and believe it or not, you can play in China and Korea as they have golf tours. Get a passport my friend and get out more.
