Discussion for Sabbatini snubs winning Tiger at Target

I think this is being hyped. Sabbatini’s had a couple of bad rounds lately and probably left in a hurry ‘cos he had nothing nice to say. Let him go and burn his frustration. Tiger can up with him over a coldie when he calms down, if need be. Tabloid style reporting doesn’t help.

Hyped? The guy got up and left a tournament – the first and only to do so in nine years. He didn’t say a word to the man running the tournament eg one Mr Tiger Woods and just left.

If that isn’t plain rude I don’t know what is. There’s 16 guys in the field – did he think no-one would notice.

Without knowing Sabbatini’s reason, I think it’s unreasonable to conclude that he’s “snubbed” the tournament and Tiger. So yes – for now it’s hype.

I agree that it would be a despicable act for a professional to just “drop out” of an event without giving reason, but I also think it’s fair to give people the benefit of the doubt until sufficient information is revealed before calling them rude or suggesting they snubbed the event.

No excuses Sabbatini is a tosser. if i cant make a tee time at my club i ring them. lucky for the PGA organisers at coolum he was in contention or he might have pissed of with his appearance money on saturday night.

Goal= Play more golf. current H/cap 12.9.

He is from South Africa. Maybe he just don’t like black people?

can you say that???? Funny thing is he dresses like a harlem pimp circa 1970’s….

I mostly agree.

What did he w/d from? Shin splints? It does sound a little fishy.

But without knowing more than we get from the media…..all we really have, if anything, is suspicion.

I ain’t gonna draw conclusions from that. At least not strong ones.

To me- HYPE.

Same deal with more of this Rory vs. the world stuff.

You have to realize that 1. the media likes to sensationalize so they have more interesting media to present to the public…and 2. Tiger, justified or not, very well could deliberately use this as an oppourtunity to put some heat on Rory.

And I don’t mean to be a “conspiracy theorist” or w/e label you want to slap on but hey- I think it’s a pretty strong possibility.

...

And I’ve been defending Sabbatini a lot lately when the topic comes up…......but in all fairness I thought the same thing when Tiger w/d last year for being too tired.

HYPE.

I understand that you need to be respectful and the fans deserve a show and etc. etc. etc….

But like it or not it’s the player’s life and choice in the end. And that goes for anyone.
