After reading the "Why should the big names win every tornament... " thread, i wondered if there are people who follow particular golfers, as they would a support football team, or golfers with a certain counrty of origin, or even a golfer with a certain sponsorship?

From Aus - Adam Scott Rest of the World - Ernie Els no reason that they are both Titleist players, they are just my favourites
sigs are back – YAY |

We all want to see the Aussies do well on the PGA Tour, for instance Pampling - who always starts tournaments well, and it was good to see him finally win one - albeit falling over the line. Adam Scott seems to be getting more consistent, and as the Shark said it's only a matter of time now. Also hoping to see names like Nitties, Lyle and Flannagan - plenty of expectation with those names, but they have time on their side. Actually... anyone but Mickelson..
Any golfer using PING. I saw one bloke on the Euro tour playing
Eye 2's - the commentator said that he had reverted to his
trusty fave clubs. You could tell they were Ping's from a
mile off

Camilo Villegas - Saw him at the Heiniken a couple of years back and was impressed a young guy would come to Aust to play.
down and out…did ya get that? |

He's been going ok on the US Tour too, but i just can't back a bloke who wears white slacks.

Yeah, has been good to see him go well. It is weird, given there were only about 20 people following him at the Heiniken I sort of feel like 'i knew him when...', in reality I have no idea about the guy, except he can play, he wears out there clothing, and he has the weirdest putt reading routine ever!

I like Ian Poulter because he barracks for Arsenal.

Then sucked in to you both for losing the Champions League final!

Ben Hogan, Stuart Appleby, Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, and might as well put Tiger in the mix. When I get Foxtel, maybe I'll add more names to the list.

Any Australian golfer - though I am NOT a big fan of Robert Allenby. As for the rest of the World - Ernie Els - as he supports virtually all tours and the fact that he speaks his mind out against the US PGA Tour hierarchy
Sleekputt,

Of the Australians I like Mark Hensby! There is no bullsh!t from
the man who speaks his mind plays well on the tough stuff.
Favourite Yanks would have to be the big hitting trio of Bubba
Watson, JB Holmes and John Daly and European player would be
Henrik Stinson.
putt,putt,putt,pftt.
