Folks, how bad has the rain been around Brissy the last couple of days and how are the courses coping. Might have a chance to play a couple of rounds there this weekend but not that interested if they’re all sodden.

The forecast is for more showers every day between now and next Monday.

Without wanting to pump it’s tyres up too much, I can advise North Lakes is a superb draining course that is in pretty good nick despite all the recent weather.

Would not play there if they offered me free food and beer . Heaps of trouble , and some of the least “customer friendly” booking practices I’ve ever encountered.

I’ve had 10 games,including Australia Day on the Sunny Coast. Have to admit that it got a bit wet once or twice.Think the course was closed 2 days and we’ve had an enormous amount of rain as well.

Here on the gold coast I have played 3 games since early January due to wet soggy courses, so dreading my return to see what bad shots or habits have crept back into my game, difficult to even get range time in between downpours.

A lot of money in wasted memberships being washed down the gurgler right now. Two months and about 8 sunny days.

That’s the problem with all the Poms that are migrating here, they are bringing their bloody weather with them.

I haven’t missed a game here on the coast, who’s scared of a wet track?

lucky you don’t live in scotland ladies, you’d have to take up another sport…..

Makes my recovery from ACL reconstruction easier to bear knowing I’m not missing out on too much golf ;-)

Still sucks though for those paying membership fees.

Agreed, not getting any bang for the buck in Memberships at the moment…Last 28 day outlook I read had rain for 27!

I just want it to stop! I must say though that I have not missed that much golf. Fortunately I’ve been off work for 2 months after a new arrival and have been flexible wih my days. No golf at all last weekend though. Hopefully sydney is ok this weekend.

I have been trying to refrain from comment but I can wait no longer.

It hardly ever rains here full stop, only ever loose a handful of days a year through rain.
