Well that’s disappointing, bumpity.

And I’m sure you’ve misread OB’s good intentions, as implying a lack of learning ability on my part in order to in some way denigrate me in the eyes of others would be entirely out of character, and behaviour that those participating on this website would never engage in to my knowledge.

Smoldy. Like the Grand Canyon….one of the few things in life that when you see it, it doesn’t disappoint.

Sorry Goldy. I thought it was a bloody stupid question from someone with your knowledge of things.

Your sarcasm is noted.

Question from an IT nerd, how do I “join” the ISG group. I can create one, but to join yours, I’ll need the join number.

I know surprisingly little, OB. Perhaps not so surprising.

I think we’re 30 all on the sarcasm.

You are joining the group – go to Groups and search ISG.

Join numbers are for joining the games – which is what you will need next week when I start the game up.

OB – you have to join the group on the website, not from your phone.

Ok. A bit disjointed.

So, can I presume that in our “goody bag” at SL …. we’re all going to get an iphone with said app (whatever that is) pre-installed and loaded??

Otherwise …....... I’ll just light a small signal fire, greenside of each hole, (once I’ve eventually putted out) ........ and send you smoke signals Goldy …......... as to my total score on said hole.

I figure either I’ll score a par …. or be elected the next pope.

What name would you take, as our next Pope?

Pope Leftus Humongous?

Is it possible to join it on the website and have someone else track the scores? In that way, we might only need one scorer per group to keep everyone’s scores live and updated.

I think that’s possible Deege – you really only need one person per group to score the whole group as far as I know.

I haven’t used it myself yet, but I have watched groups on the weekend from the phone.

I played in the ozgolf weekend using this app. Friggen grouse fun, works great, just one person per group does scores which takes no time at all. All scores are live with live comments. Real good fun. During 5 hour social rounds as all these days are mostly there is plenty of time to enter scores. The app does chew battery, oh well.

Thanks Coddy…I was hoping you’d chime in with some commentary on how it works in reality.

It was bloody great to be able to see all the scores as they happened.

Excellent, this sounds like it will be a fantastic way to keep up with what everyone is doing on the course while the game is in motion.

Ha yeah was fun reading your comments whilst on the course, did you enjoy my choking comment. Tough stretch of holes those few. You really missed out on a cracking weekend and meeting those lads properly, some real characters there.

It sounds like you made some new friends.

Giving us the tijuana? ;-)

Looked like a few of ‘em had a bit of game too.

GG – when you’re logged in on the webpage, go to Friends….on that page there is a sub-heading of groups – click on that, search for ISG.

Mads….it would be a pisser….you can post comments at each other during the round (Deano and I were exchanging choking comments yesterday….and I was 100kms away).

yep the average h’cap would be about 8 i’d say, the boys can play and eeer dress lol how loud were the clothes…....wow

best part…...not one single swing tip all weekend ;-)

Goneski

Yeah, I reckon some of the outfits on display on Saturday made GPJ look positively drab.

A lot of low markers in that group….maybe that was why none of them offered advice :-)

After all…it’s we 20+ handicappers who swing the club more often than you scratch markers…we SHOULD know swing tips…we have enough of ‘em running through our head!
