i phone after 3 LOL My point is simple asian player will work harder than ours…..YOU dont get better at that level unless you work at it why are we complaining….our player need to see how these players work…if I was a pro I would be seeking out the coaches of these players and say hey how much are you putting in? that said I think asian people are perfectly built for golf – strong and felxible they are also very menatlly strong race of people…thats paying them a compliment all these factors do add up
Golf is only a game…Yeah right who are you kidding? |

I don’t disagree with your comments about work ethic. You’re pretty much on the money. Not sure about the build though. It is interesting that no woman has come through a la Serena Williams and been a superior athlete. You can’t say that it doesn’t matter in golf because Tiger Woods proved otherwise, however while the courses are set up so soft it keeps the short hitters in the race. On another slight tangent – why is it seemingly ok to generalise about a race when it is positive, but not when it is negative?

Is it one of those “selective equality” things?

I’m not sure that the Japanese girls have the same build as the Korean girls or the Chinese girls and I’m pretty sure like anyone they don’t want to be all put in that box and labelled Asian. Like calling a Kiwi , Australasian. They hate it.

I wasnt being critical or racist, and yes its slightly generaliased but my points are valid they have good power to weight ratio and flexibility is excellent all keys for a good swing

They work 10 times harder on the range than Aussie girls and 5 time`s the family support, thats why the Koreans are dominating.
Broomsticks, Trevor Chappell and Lance Armstrong love theirs. |

Smart question.
Ghetto train – get on it. Winner C grade OOM #3 Patterson River. |

No it isn’t. It’s in the same box as it being “racist” to call someone a Jap or a Paki but perfectly fine to call us Aussies. There is a perfectly good reason for this of course, but you probably wouldn’t like it.

At least calling someone a fag isn’t being racist.
What is this golf game you talk of? |

Fag.

If I said Asian fag, would that be racist or homophobic? Just asking.
What is this golf game you talk of? |

Or just descriptive?

I can’t believe I’m fuelling this thread …... Yes Jan’s comment is racist, you cannot exclude a group of people like that. Did anyone make these comments about the PGA tour once the Europeans started to dominate? No. Who would tell Luke Donald he has to sit out until Rory drops out of the top 10. “Everybody here is dumber having listened to your speech, I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul”

Just on Ms Stephnesons comments, and in relation to the OP’s question …...... no, she wasn’t wrong to say what she did, at all. They were her thoughts at the time, and as such, she was clearly entitled to express them, (given that she would probably have based them on some first hand knowledge and experience). Of course, time has a way of changing things, as well as how we think, in terms of what is socially acceptable to say in this ever increasing politically correct world in which we now find ourselves Without the aid of a crystal ball, Ms Stephenson probably could not have predicted how well these international players would have integrated themselves into the tour over the last decade, or how international companies would have now become the norm in this post GFC world.

Jan had a great pair of tits and was very flexible. She was nice to look at. I was more into looking than listening.
Totally ignorant about almost everything except golf. |

Was jan right? Since she was hypothetically assuming the role of the LPGA commissioner yes! Who would argue that the economic strength of he LPGA has improved in the last 10 years? The financial crisis was an extunating factor, however the LPGA has been forced to cancel tournaments, and expand internationally to maintain their tour. The PGA on the other hand, has not. If your objective was to protect your domestic tour, jan was spot on. If your objective was to promote the worlds best golfers, limiting the # of imports is. When businesses decline, it takes strong people to assess the reasons why. The lack of good American players wasn’t the only reason for sponsors bailing on the LPGA, however it had to be a real issue. Jan saw it coming, and spoke up.
