Hi all
Not sure if I am a TM ho or a Titleist ho |

Last time I was in Noosa I played Noosa Springs and Coolum. I’ll be in Noosa at the end of March, but only playing Coolum this time round (only have time for one) so I’d recommend that. But if you get a chance to play both you won’t be disappointed.

Depends on how much you wish to spend. The Obvious ones would be Noosa Springs. Palmer Coolum.( Formally Hyatt Regency Coolum) or Twin Waters. Mt Coolum is reputed to be a decent course & there are a couple of others around that could be worth a visit.

I always enjoyed Twin Waters and Noosa Springs. Pelican Waters was also solid, but that was years ago.

Twin waters Listed from most expensive to cheapest

Would normally recommend a run at Horton Park but they are renovating the greens on Monday 18 th & Tuesday 19 th Feb so give it a miss!

Bloke comes to the Sunshine Coast and you recommend Nambour? It’s one of the worst courses in Australia.

Just giving OP options price wise. Nambour certainly doesn’t compare to the others listed as they are mostly all resort courses. I’d go with Twin waters personally

Thanks DFS, pom, Juan, Wal, ss & cman. Sounds like Twin Waters & toss a coin between Coolum & Noosa Springs is the go. I struggle enough with putting without torturing myself on renovated greens so will give Horton Park a miss this time around. Will see how I get on and let you know the outcome.

I’ve played most of the courses on the Sunny coast numerous times. If I could only play one it would be Coolum. I havent played there since the change in owners but if it’s still in as good condition then I wouldn’t hesitate in booking a tee time. Playing there made watching the Pro’s hit it around there much more interesting as you remembered spots you’ve been or the holes you’ve birdied etc. As for the rest… I like Twin Waters next best, more than Noosa Springs. Noosa isn’t all that interesting and Twin Waters has just been a better experience each time I’ve played. It’s also slightly cheaper. That would round out my top 3. If you are staying in Noosa it will be worth your while to play Noosa-Tewantin. IMO It’s a really underrated course. Plenty of variety and lots of wildlife. I try to play it at least once or twice when I’m up there. Another worth visiting if you don’t mind some travelling would be Pacific Harbour. I’d steer clear of Pelican Waters… I found it to be another fairly boring layout and the condition of the course was vastly different the two times I’ve played there. I’ve never played Peregian Springs now its been opened up to visitors so maybe that could be another possibility as its close to Noosa itself. Enjoy your trip, it’s a great part of the world and I’m sure you will enjoy whichever course you decide to play.

That seems to be the Norm with Pelican. I have played there twice. both times the course was in good nick & I like the place because the character of the course changes as you play the round. however. on both occasions the staff gave the impression that it was all too much trouble. I would not hurry back there.

Good call. We don’t want too many visitors there anyway.

Thanks Wags hadn’t considered Noosa-Tewantin and it is the next closest after Noosa Springs, will keep that in mind. Packin the bags & heading out on Saturday.

Well, been here for 4 days now and not 1 chance of a hit, rained every day and courses are bogged or not worth playing even according to the club staffers.

That sucks mate. I played Nambour on Sat and I shouldn’t have bothered.

I couldn’t help notice that not one of you have suggested the jewel in the Sunshine coast crown – Headland GC…
