I’m really not sure why Lydia is so very,very, good;but she must be.

Was out watching in the second round and she is pretty big for a 15 year old, same height as playing partners one of them Angela Standford, hit driver dead straight every time, irons and fairway woods like bullets we were wondering how the hell will she miss a shot or make a bogey – putting can be suspect she changes throughout the round from back handed to normal grip but still holes plenty of putts.

The times I have watched her (admittedly on TV), the impressive thing seems to be her impressive cool and lack of nerves. She just as you say keeps hitting fairways and greens, playing with the sort of consistency and quiet confidence that reminds me of an Inbee Park in the senior ranks. What remains to be seen is whether this sort of dominance and confidence carries through to when she hits the pro ranks. You sometimes see these young phenoms who come out and feel like they have no pressure and just play fantastically well and then can’t sustain the same level of performance when they are depending on making cuts and so on to make a living. But good luck to her and good on her for taking a sensible approach and not letting the good performances get away with her.
