Hi, My question is “should my score be forwarded to Golf Link and my handicap adjusted.. I was playing off 15 had a great round and lost .8. I went from 14.6 to 13.8” I mean if your disqualified your disqualified right? Thanks

Sorry, thats the way it has always been. DQ’d but score still counts to handicap. Suck it up and move on.

I would have thought if you get disqualified your result would not be entered into golflink.

agree with northerner on this when you have are dq’ed from the comp just means you are not eligible to win the comp of the day your handicap can still be adjusted accordingly and why get upset if you moved from 14.6 to 13.8 ya now playingof 13 instead of 15 which is still acknowledging your good round you had going

From the handicapping rules: When a player is disqualified, their actual score may be used for handicapping purposes, at the discretion Section 9 goes on to specify that where you are DQ’d for not signing a card, your score is still submitted for handicapping.

I thought 13.8 was 14 but I could be wrong again. I would plead my case if was dq’d and look like gaining or losing a shot and was due to missing signature that my marker might have reminded me to sign my card.

Losing a shot off your handicap is a reward not a penalty. We have a thing at Rossdale where the person who has the best score in the group puts the cards in for the group, when it’s my turn I always check all 4 cards for signatures and handicaps before leaving the table at the 18th.

you thought right and topcat was spot on my maths brain was left in the second head when i escaped tasmania @topcat you should be responsible for your own card to make sure your own card is sign by yaself and by the marker not just by 1 person who had the best score in the round to hand them in and check them…. but i do like that idea at baccus marsh we have to entoer our scores into a computer (in which i get into trouble cos i keep loging onto the wrong site), the marker of your card calls your strokes and wipes out to you while you punch them into the computer however we still have to sign the cards as they are kept by the handicapper and is verified with the computer cheers

It is your responsibility to check that your card is filled out correctly. If you do this small thing you will not be DQd. If you do not check & get Disqualified your score still counts for handicap.Thems the rules.Pleading your case may well get you some strange looks but I doubt it will change the score entry to golf link,:-)

My comment was not aimed at you Keith. BTW welcome to the madhouse. You have received a little sample of some of the #$@ that goes on around here. All in good fun I might add.
