Followed Karrie around today for her front nine. She was on fire. Not a mishit until the drive on 9 went right and left her with a very long shot with trees in her line. Hard to believe that 413m is a par 4 for the ladies Bruce?

Weetbix – yes agreed. I guess that they made the decision to revert the 18th to a par five to provide better finishing scenarios. They then changed the 9th which has now become the toughest hole on the course. It is not really set up to accept long iron and fairway wood approaches and with the grain on the green running from front to back it makes it even more demanding trying to keep the ball on the green. I guess though it is just a number and as the scoring indicates there are plenty of other scoring opportunities throughout the layout.

I was there yesterday and followed the Jessica Korda group. Geez she hits the ball a mile AND dead straight. Not a hint of a draw or a fade. The kid has a bright future. Speaking of “bright futures”. Was good to run into Madam at the tourney & have a bit of a chin wag.
