This thread rather shows why new players should not rely on learning the rules from other players.Many players only ” think” that they know the rules.
Yes you may practice on the putting green between 9s if you do not unduly delay play unless COC.s do not permit it.
Yes you may practice on the course prior to match play & yes you may use a tee to mark the ball on the green.
Another one. Yes you may pull a buggie load of clubs through a hazard or place clubs on the ground in a Hazard as long as you do not ground the club playing or practicing your shot.

It amazes me sometimes when I play with some folks and they pull out a load of crap out of their pockets….coins,car keys,tissues, spare pencils, erasers, lighters, 18 different heighted tees… Golly!!!

I carry a flat marker, a tee and pitch repairer, all the othe crap goes into one of 10 pockets in my bag

My favorite player is the guy who uses the end of the putter head as a mark…picks up the ball, cleans it, replaces it at end of putter head and continues to putt out….. Three times…...Gold!!!
