i got ridiculed roday at my club for playing the most rounds of golf in a year

most of all i was shamed against a australian golfing pro josh younger

Aperently i played 77 games last year .

Actually i wouldnt dispute that really

its not that far of the truth.

I am lucky man in my life if me and the better hal ist doing anything i get to play golf

not a bad deal

i dont miss to many saturdays as the wife knows saturday is my day… so 52 weeks of the year is golf , unless there is a death in the family

and has got me thinking this year

i have pretty well played 3 times every weekend so far in janruary

how many games a year do you play

Twice a week makes it 104 p.a. plus the odd OOM and the occasional practice round.

Probably around 60 give or take

Twice a week so 104 plus any tournaments and pennant matches and try to play 9 holes twice a week.

Saturdays and the very, very occasional Sunday :(

Oh yes, plus the pennant matches.

Our club has a few 36 hole events, so that’s some more rounds.
Weekend away adds a few more rounds.
We have a night golf round coming up = plus 1.

I’m working away about 182 days a year , so I only ghetto play about 150 plus : (

about 60 I supoose – generally once a week with few sneaky extra ones tacked on for the last few years

new job this year has put a dent in my golf

Try to play twice a week, missed a few this year too hot.

Twice a week comps – Tuesday and Saturday, plus social – Fridays, plus pennants, open days, bowls, charity days, etc. etc. Reckon must average four times a week, and that’s without including practise rounds before major comps. So easily 200 plus a year.

but this year is off to a good start with 9 recorded to date.

Where I live now (Norway) the golf season is about 6 months. You have to play a minimum of 4 rounds to maintain your handicap to be able to enter competitions….last season I only got in 2 rounds….

I play more than I expect to given my domestic situation… :)

First year out of school I had about 250 rounds logged on Golflink. Not to mention all the matchplay and novelty comps. Now it’s more like 5-6 a month.

Joined a club in April last year with the intent to play at least weekly, didn’t wuite work out tht way with an average of once a fortnight.
Different this year – ha, ha. haven’t improved much, wonder why?????

I try to play twice every week. Sometimes only 27 holes. others 36 over the weekend. As for others. that excludes pennants Etc.

I will make it to about 45 for the past year since taking up the sport again. I expect that I will be around 50 for the coming year – mostly on Saturdays.

Used to be 100+ now with young family down to about 20-30. Can’t complain just that period in life.
Absolutely love my golf when I get out there now though.
