I’m interested in attending some Long Drive Competitions in 2013. I’ve had a quick search on google but cant seem to find any schedules for 2013? Does anyone know where I might be able to find them for Vic?

I thought you would have heaps of advice lynchy, most blokes on here drive it 280 plus on average!!!

Been to both.

Remax still has the event calendar from 2011 up and Monsterball has no events in their 2013 calendar

There is very little info around. I know one of the Australian long drive websites have expired. Is there an official body that holds the comps? I wouldn’t mind attending/competing myself.

It was around last year but I haven’t seen anything about this year.

The website was www.longdrive.com.au but that seems to be no longer working.

It seemed to me that it struggled to gain popularity here in Australia.

I remember there was a long drive comp at the 2012 Australian PGA Championship. It was held in near the main concourse area & behind one of the corporate marquees. I think it might’ve been sponsored by one of those energy drinks. It was highly entertaining to watch live. They had the boom, boom, doof, doof, music playing in the background.

Do you know if there is a schedule anywhere? What distance do you think you’d have to hit the ball to make it worthwhile entering these compeitions?

Iron Mick is taking the ‘Mickey’ Lynchy. 24/2 at Sanctuary Lakes is the next Vic ISG Order Of Merit round.

Hey all, just chatting to a mate of mine, who has said the REMAX World long drive qualifiers is happening in 2013, as new franchise owners have taken over.He didnt have much detail except they were planning around 20 qualifying events in Aus both City and country.

Im a bit confused though, is monster ball affiliated with REMAX world long drive or is it something else?

As more info comes in ill let you know if they don’t beat me to it.
